“As someone who lives in Morris Park I noticed when Boni Burger first opened and was curious to try it. But after seeing it all over TikTok, I was hesitant. I thought it was going to be another one of those overhyped, gimmicky spots where the food looks better on social media than it actually tastes. You know, the same generic Restaurant Depot food that half these places serve. Well, I was hungry today day, had limited options bc it’s 9:300pm, so I decided to give it a shot. My sister and I shared a burger and a burek. No fries, no shakes, just those two items.

WHEN I TELL YOU I WISH I HAD TRIED THIS PLACE SOONER!!! 😭
First of all, I’m a tough critic. No shade but I’m a Karen when it comes to food 😂 I WILL find something wrong, and somehow I had absolutely nothing to complain about.
The burger? Imagine Shake Shack if Shake Shack went gourmet. And I LOVE Shake Shack. It’s always been one of my favorite burgers, but Boni Burger genuinely blew it out of the water. The flavor, the quality, EVERYTHING. It’s what Shake Shack wishes it could be. I genuinely don’t think I can go back to Shake Shack after this. 😭

Now, the burek? OH MY GOD. Growing up around Morris Park, I’m very familiar with Albanian and Balkan food. I love my Balkan people, and I’ve had some seriously good, authentic burek over the years. So trust me when I say my expectations are HIGH. Their burek was absolutely perfect.

I’m sure some of those TikTok videos were promotional, but you know what? NO LIES WERE TOLD. Everything was genuinely that good. I cannot emphasize enough how impressed I was. I’m already planning to go back for another burger and to finally try their shakes. This is exactly why you can’t judge a book by its cover. Boni Burger, you officially have a repeat customer. 10/10!!!“

“So I had my food delivered today with my 1st order from here. Anyway, food was delicious and Margie is a cool person to do business with. I’m not even much a hotdog fan but, the bacon took them to a new level. I’d get again but maybe physically go there next time.“

“Usually do weekly food orders from jumbos for breakfast/brunch, the food is always delivered hot and is delicious however they have their own version of “tater tots” they serve that are more akin to an order of home fries or hash browns.
a clearer picture on the menu or just naming them something like “Jimbo tots” would help clear confusion and save customers the $4.50“

“We stumbled across this place yesterday, we dipped in from the cold for a break and had a pleasant surprise, the staff were so welcoming and made sure we got a seat at the bar... later realised I had read about the bar previously, the hot dogs are a lovely touch and drinks amazing prices. x“

“When my brothers were kids, they would stop to eat at Hiram"s on their way back from Palisade's Amusement Park. My mom would always ask why. My brothers replied, "the food is better at Hiram's! When I worked for Thomas J. Lipton in Englewood Cliffs, my co-workers and I went to Hiram's for lunch often. I plan on going very soon! I so love Hiram's for the food and it's longevity.“

“Now THAT is a Korean corn dog. My first Korean corn dog at another spot was honestly not my favorite, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. But when I tried Jongro, I finally understood the hype.

The corn dog was really good, the potatoes were crispy and flavorful, and it definitely wasn’t bland. From what I’ve seen, Korean corn dogs can come with half a hot dog and cheese on top, but I personally wish it was a full hot dog with cheese wrapped around it.

Either way, I really enjoyed this one. Definitely add ketchup and honey mustard. I think you can also add sugar to it if that’s your preference.“

“Anable Basin is literally one of my favorite spots in the city, especially during the summer. The views are so pretty, the drinks are good, and the whole vibe is just so fun and relaxed. The staff is also super cool and personable. I love coming here with friends, sitting by the water, and watching the sunset (the best view in New York imo). Definitely a go-to spot for me!“

“I came all the way from Long Island to Rego Park, and while passing through I spotted this hot dog truck and decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did! The hot dogs were AMAZING. I ordered the chili cheese dog with onions and mustard, along with a sauerkraut dog with mustard, and both were absolutely delicious. “Pubkey is always a great time, I'm here usually two times a month on Mondays. The burger is pricey $20+ but, sometimes it's really worth it, also the regular fries are very very very tasty (I don't like the waffle fries). The regular fries in and of themselves remind of fries you get from a fancy golf club or how delicious BK fries used to be 15 years ago. Idk what they do to them, if it's a certain brand of fries, maybe they're twice fried tossed in cornstarch? Anyway, they're so hard to find anywhere else and here they are!“

The lamb had this incredible taste on it that packed so much flavor, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, juicy, and seasoned so well that every bite was better than the last. The rice was fluffy, the sauces tied everything together perfectly, and the portions were generous. If you’re anywhere nearby, you’re seriously missing out if you don’t try this spot. It's perfect if you find know what type of bigger you want, because they have a sampler for 40 dollars and it has the best mix of everything so you know what to get the next time. “Went there today for the first time with my wife, I had the 10 West burger, so delicious, cooked perfectly and the burger was huge, just the right number of toppings and the bacon jam hit it out of the park. The sweet potato fries were excellent and enough for two people. The chips that come with the burger were also good. My wife had the regular burger with no cheese and an order of regular fries. She really enjoyed it and said it was cooked perfectly. The staff was friendly, the owner, Mel, greeted us, took our order and chatted with us while our order was being prepared. We were given a little disc that lit up and vibrated when the order was ready to be picked up at the counter. One of the best burgers around! A little pricy, but definitely worth it! We'll be going back for another delicious mouthwatering experience!“

“Love this place! The sandwiches are authentic and very delicious. They have a big variety of drinks and other Asian street food, like Korean cheese corn dogs. It can take a while for you to get your food, but other than that, I will definitely keep coming back!“

“I went in for lobster rolls to go which is not something they usually do, but they happily accommodated when I explained it was for my mom’s bday. She loves lobster and doesn’t get it as often as she should. We got 3 simple sailors and they were absolutely superb. They even gave me a bday whoopie pie and said to wish my mom a happy bday from them. All the staff were amazing happy to help and soon they will be open on Thursdays. “We love this place! This is our go-to spot after golfing at the nearby Pitch N Putt. Every person we've introduced to this place has also loved it.

Our favorites are the cheeseburgers (surprisingly juicy!) and fries. They are getting a lot more business now with the U.S. Open, which is great, though the line can be very long because of that and service is slower. But the folks are so friendly and the food is great, so it's definitely worth a visit!“

We stayed in Jackson Heights, and on our final night before leaving, we ate at Empanadas Mix.
