“I saw this place on Instagram and was honestly pretty skeptical at first. One day I happened to be nearby and decided to give it a try. I’m really glad I did — I was pleasantly surprised and really enjoyed it. Definitely worth a visit!“

“LOVE NATHANS but they need to incorporate combos (hot dog, fries & drink). Everything is separate.
7/25/26 Update: Still love love Nathan's. We took a couple we met at brunch to visit Coney Island for the first time and to have hotdogs and frog legs. It was a blast!!“

“This place is incredible. It's peak Chicago in all the best ways. An absolutely immaculate vibe with an amazing array of Chicago memorabilia, a very lively and friendly staff, and delicious food. I would live here if not for the legality of it all.“

“The hot dogs are really tasty, and bartenders super nice and attentive. The band was great too! All around cozy atmosphere and a lot of people on dates. I mainly came because I was craving a veggie dog, but they’re a great spot to have in the neighborhood, and I’ll be back.“

“BEST hot dogs in NYC hands down! Recommended 100%. Also try the other amazing Venezuelan specialties they have to offer. You won't regret it ;)“

“The food is always great here! Service is great. If there is a downside, I would say too many people. But it's not their fault. Just the area. There is outside seating. Nothing really healthy here, but they know that. Come for comfort food, not healthy.“

“So this place is funny. Before they were overpriced for the area but they kept their prices pretty much the same as everyone went up around. The chicken here is probably the best from any crown/kennedy within a mile from here. They make everything else work because the prices are reasonable.“

“Stopped by Nathans Famous for a quick coffee and had a great experience. The coffee was fresh and hot, the service was friendly, and everything was quick and efficient. Sometimes it's the little things that make a difference, and this was an easy, pleasant stop. I'll definitely be back when I'm in the area.“
“Totally laid back with an excellent selection of craft beers on tap and bottles/cans, a full bar and frozen drinks. There is a large lovely beer garden and they regularly fire up the grill — bring your own meat! Karaoke and monthly quiz night are really fun with locals who love participating and singing along.“

“101 is the last true dive bar! The final frontier of bar hopping. Of course it’s rough around the edges but that’s the character I seek! It’s welcoming once you’re comfortable there, the drinks are abundant and strong. The vibe are always so incredibly positive and strong. The dancing and climbing around the wooden furniture is such a whimsical experience. At a certain point everyone’s on a vibe together. The dark haired bartender with tattoos is one of the free-est most unique individuals I’ve ever met. I am a big fan of the energy and personality in this bar.“

“My kid wanted burger and fries for her birthday on March 9th. We were 2 Adults and 3 children. We spent approximately $140. The burgers could’ve use some seasoning but overall it was ok. There were plenty of options, including chicken and veggie. The fries are hand cut. The manager Raven was friendly and attentive. She made her rounds visiting the tables to check on each customer. The other workers were also patient and friendly. Overall we had a good time and enjoyed the food. We were too busy eating we forgot to take pictures.
Yes we would visit again.“

“When it seems like everything in the area is being rebuilt, renovated and rebooted it's great to have an original fixture of Brooklyn remain as a constant. Love this place!“

“This guy's name is Mohammed, and I think he and his sweet wife are from Bangladesh; she works in the daytime, mostly. He also has kids, lives close by, and the cart license is all his; it's his business. They speak minimal English, but super nice people. He's been on this spot forever, and apparently is also allowed to leave the cart there overnight, on the sidewalk. Since it's also his business, some times they just choose to close; be aware. But he's open 90% of the time.Standard NYC "halal cart" fare, but it's consistent in quality and quantity, and fairly priced. I probably eat there 2-6 times a month, and nearly always get chicken over rice, or in a pita (gyro). The "mix" of chicken and lamb is good too.Good quality, good price. IMO.“

“The hospitality we received from literally every staff member on duty exceeded our expectations by far! We even had the please of meeting the owner who took the time to and personally wish our son a happy 5th birthday.
The location is well kept, exceptionally clean. The food was great! They totally deserve Five Star!“

“Nathan's is a classic Brooklyn staple that has been around for years and years. Despite living in NYC, this was my first time going to their official location.
Got a Jalapeño Bacon Cheese Dog with sautéed onions on the boardwalk. The hotdog itself was good, but in the end of the day it's *just* a hotdog. Pretty sure it had natural casing on it, which gives it a signature snappy chew. I do wish there was more bacon on my dog but it is what it is. Overall it was pretty good but nothing groundbreaking.“

“If you like pickles, the vegan Chicago dog is the best hotdog in the city. It’s better than any dog I had in Chicago. I feel silly for paying $9 for a hotdog, but it’s very good and does come with a bag of chips. All this place does is hotdogs, and they do it well Updated from previous review on 2026-08-02“
