“My first trip to this establishment. I was brought here by a friend many years ago. The black owned seafood place is full of rich history, culture and the food was phenomenal. I'll be going there often. There are no seats so come to buy and go.“

“I’ve been going to this place since I was a little girl. I moved 5 years ago and visited while in the Bronx. So nostalgic, same people there. The place is still clean. The fried fish is still some of the best I’ve ever had. No frills, nothing fancy still great. Brought my 14 year old along with me for the first time he loved the food as well.“

For instance, 6 crab sticks are about $7-8, I asked for half, I was told it's either 6 or nothing. I chose something else. But not everyone eats big portions. No biggie but was still annoyed. “A coupler days ago, experienced ‘Simply Fried’, so I ordered the Fried Whiting w/cole slaw and Coco Bread. “Great happy hour spot, me up with my husband here since it’s close to his job. Delicious comfort food. We had the chicken quesadilla, caesar salad, tavern burger, and french fries. The burger was our favorite. For cocktails, I had a moscow mule and my husband had an old fashioned. Service was good and super friendly staff. John was our server and he was on point. Love the ambiance, it’s a three level floor with a rooftop biergarten. We went on a Tuesday when the weather was 90 degrees, only complaint it was so hot inside with no AC. My husband went back again the next day with his friends, he also said there was still no AC that evening. We had a good time and would still go back.“

“Stopped in from Queens after seeing a YouTube video of the place and wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. It DEFINITELY did. If you're new there they'll give you a sampler of their shrimp, catfish and whitenings. All three are outstanding. The shrimp has a sweet background flavor that you don't expect but is really good. Both the catfish and whiteings are fried and seasoned perfectly. We ordered for our family so we got a catfish sandwich, fish and chips and a fish dinner. They give you a ton of food. Oh and one last thing. Definitely try their sides. Their Mac and cheese was OUTSTANDING.

Definitely will be going back without hesitation.“

“A really nice place for breakfast chicharon... fresh food, big portions and very reasonable price, I also try other plates, all are good,specially jalea, xstuff are friendly, place is a little small but very cozy... I do recommend this place.“

“foods really good I wouldn't recommend getting anything fried as I know from experience there's usually more breading then there is seafood on the fried items. with that being said go in and indulge on several of the steamed items lastly don't forget to get the yellow rice with it last time I went they were charging an extra 2 dollars for the rice the price could of gone up a bit.“

“The fish is fresh and good. They have a large variety of all kinds of seafood.The problem is: the portions are too small. They are very cheap with the veggies and yellow rice on steam orders.I will speak to the owners to change this, since the food alone would get 5 stars!“
