“Five minute drive from the nybg. Bae always makes the great choices. This beat my reccomendation for us to get pizza after spending 7 hours at nybg. The service was exceptional, we had the whole place to ourselves. Desserts are amazing. They had this yogurt drink I put bae onto that is a fond memory of my childhood. I’m glad he’s open to trying food from different cultures. Healthy meal too. We will definitely come back. Took some desserts to go to! And the fruit desert you see, comes in a glass dish and they let you take that home after. Five stars all around!“

“Best Albanian Restaurant in NY! Every time my husband and i visit NY from FL we not only make it a priority to enjoy lunch there but we call a few days in advance and order Sausage to take back home with us! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Always a great experience! Just make sure you have cash on you! Arthur Ave only likes cash, cash is king????????“

“Loved everything about our evening at Frevo. It felt like an experience as much as dinner. The service was excellent, the food fantastic, and the vibe was downright sexy. I will be dreaming of the carrot course and the Comte with honey ice cream. Both literally made my eyes roll to the back of my head in the best of ways and were some of the best things I have ever eaten.“

“Ukus is a humble place with a lot of heart and great food. Located on a less busy side of 30th Ave, this mom-n-pop Balkan restaurant operated by a Montenegran family offers a variety of Balkan staples with minimum fuss and maximum taste.
The burek is flaky and flavorful and I usually stick to cheese or spinach, but they also have meat, cabbage, and potato slices. I brought two friends along who’d never tried Balkan cuisine and they were instantly in love with the cevapi, which was grilled to perfection and complemented perfectly with raw onions, ajvar, kajmak, and develops warm bread.
We also really enjoyed the pausili, which had a really delicious smoky flavor; this was my favorite dish and one I will definitely go out of my way for on cold days. We also tried the sudzukice, which I think I actually preferred over the cevapi because I found the thin beef sausages to be a bit more moist and flavorful.
Great service and food make this cash only establishment one worth coming back to!“
“Was able to reserve a time slot for a ~9pm take out deal with the app tgtg, for 3 slices of cake, the apple strudel, linzer raspberry cake/pie and sacher torte. They are all made in-house and made fresh that day. The 3 slices were all delicious, so much so I came back again the next night to get the slices for a friend's birthday. The cake slices were well presented by the friendly staff rivaling that of other fine restaurants. The desserts were not overly sweet or excessive in chocolate in the case of the sacher torte, and had the characteristic drier, delicate texture of Austrian cuisine with fresh ingredients from a fine dining establishment. They brightened up the challenging work day I was having. The space of Wallse Next Door (on Washington St around the corner from Wallse), was a quiet spot in the evening or day, and a fine place to meet friends.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chito Gvrito and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm, friendly smile and a cozy ambiance that set the tone for the evening. The menu offers a perfect balance of classic favorites and innovative dishes (shout out to the Chief), ensuring there’s something for everyone. I started with the Georgian salad and eggplant rolls, which was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. For my main course, I chose Ojakhuri which was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and seasoned just right. My friends selected: Adjaruli khachapuri (cheese and egg in the middle of deliciously baked bread) and Shrimp dish. This goes well with chacha and compote drink, make sure to have few shots. The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and eager to make recommendations based on our preferences. She went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, enhancing the overall dining experience. To top it all off, we indulged in the dessert, had 4 various ones that we split and all were AMAZING! This was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. It was clear that every dish was prepared with care, using fresh, high-quality ingredients. Overall, I highly recommend Chito Gvrito for anyone looking for a memorable dining experience. It’s not just a meal—it’s an experience you won’t want to miss!“

“We celebrated our annual Christmas Dinner here at Sveta and was blown away with the service we got from everyone there but the owner AL was extremely attentive and generous to us ….we had reservations but had to wait a bit but we were graciously served Champagne while we wait ….I had a skirt steak which was delicious and my cousins had the lamb and shrimp platters and were all very delicious …I will definitely return …the festive drinks was a statement piece which added to the ambience of this very festive place.. I will recommend this place 100% ….my recommendation is you make a reservation because it’s a bit on the small side but very crowded … make your reservations today you will not be disappointed 🎄❤️“

“Food at this place is exeptionally good and reasonably priced. Portions are very generous. My son and I tried cevapi and burek and brought home some freshly made deserts; baklava, tulumbe and urmasik. Everything tasted just like back home in the Balkans.“

“Our food was excellent! We ordered the omelette and eggs Benedict. They were done to true French perfection. The French pressed coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice paired nicely with our breakfast. Our server was absolutely the best - went above and beyond for us.“

“I was excited to go here, the waiter was cool and we enjoyed the characters they have walking around, however we spent over $100 per person for a fixed menu and one drink, the entre I had tasted like hamburger helper ??♂️ but everything else was good and nice, however I wouldn't recommend this place, there's plenty of nice restaurants you can eat at for cheaper BUT if your looking for the experience like I did go for it.“

“This quaint tiny restaurant has authentic burek. The server was honest about the time it would take to deliver the food we wanted to order and therefore we were able to change our order to accommodate our schedule. We experienced a very clean environment nice atmosphere (although florescent light are a vibe kill) and delicious food. Not fancy but wholesome. Thanks for a healthy portion!“

“Delicious food and charming employees, especially Luba. My first visit here was in 1981, and I saved the old menu all these years. The annual Thanksgiving turkey dinner is our family's beloved tradition. Note: This menu is from 1981 and the prices have risen ever so slightly!“
