I don’t know what it is about this place that every time I go buy a chicken Souvlaki they always fill it up to the top with lettuce. Aside from that they put a little bit of chicken and you just have a pita bread with a whole bunch of salad. They definitely are doing something different. From the pictures of Food I see here, I guess they discriminate certain people.

this business has very good food but the blonde waitress is not for that environment she is very rude arrogant does not talk to the customer she only wants to attract the attention of young guys she does not know about the customers she never asks if we need anything or you have to call her many times for something. I am very sorry that the owner Keep her there I will not go there anymore only of her service

In the sea of Italian places on Arthur ave is this greek spot. It is pretty authentic which I love. I went with the pork gyro platter and it was amazing. The pork is roasted slowly on the spit and comes out perfect. The platter comes with three dips but I am not a fan of taramosalata (fish roe dip). The others were good. I also loved the greek salad and it was as authentic as you can get. I would recommend and come back.

Hands down one of the best gyros and hummus I have ever had! Service was exceptional. Staff made you feel at home. I even left my book bag accidentally at the bar and they ensured I didn’t leave the area without my book bag! Real life savers that happen to know how to make the city’s best gyro! Chicken skewers were bussin as well! Get to Avenue Gyro, nuff said!

After a long day at the Bronx Zoo with my girlfriend, I was in the mood for some Greek food and found this gem. After being seated immediately by a friendly host/waitress, we ordered the meat platter for 2 with a side of rice. They gave us so much food that we had to move to a party of 4 table. Everything tasted excellent. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're in the area. 💯😋💪

Lovely clean interior. Open kitchen. Friendly people. The bar tender/hostess was amazingly friendly and I say this respectfully, beautiful. I think I fell in love with the Bronx today ladies and gentleman. All because of this gyro place. The neighborhood is amazing. It was my first time exploring the Bronx, with friends, as an adult and it was super sweet. The energy throughout the city is electric. Ok ok, back to the Gyro place. We got kebabs and Greek/Euro beers and it was all super fresh and clean food. Flavorful! The sauces were amazing - ask to try their different sauces and they’ll bring you a few to dunk things in. The bar tender brought us a free serving of fries with sauces to try. I mean come on! Who does that? Just a spectacular place!

I came here with friends to celebrate a birthday and had a wonderful time. I highly recommend Avenue Gyro! The staff is very accommodating, polite and friendly. The food was fresh, homemade and delicious! We came in February on a Wednesday night, but I imagine this place fills up on weekends and during warmer months -- it Must! Warm atmosphere, earthy decor, clean facilities... what more can I say? We loved everything we ate. Edita took excellent care of us and the chef came out to check on us also! No complaints from us. We had great food and excellent, attentive service. 5/5.
