If there was a 0 option I would; I use to come here and receive a healthy plate. Now I’m paying the same for only bone and lamb fat no meat, only rice. I won’t be returning honestly. I’m sure I’ll find other Yemeni restaurants

This is the best Yemeni restaurant I have tried. Their Lamb saltah is amazing. I have brought people from out of town to try it on various occasions. The servers are super friendly and I love the complimentary lamb broth.

I came here today to try their Adeni fresh lemonade and shish kebab sandwich. It was amazing. The pricing was great too. The lemonade was $3 and the sandwich was $10. Their service was excellent. The lady who served us was very polite and friendly. The place looks very clean and beautiful I really recommend the lemonade. It’s a 10/10. Not too sweet or bland

The food was outstanding — every dish we tried was flavorful and clearly made with quality ingredients. The [signature dish you tried] was especially memorable: perfectly seasoned, beautifully presented, and delicious with every bite. We also tried the [another dish], which had rich, bold flavors that exceeded our expectations.
Portion sizes were generous, and the pace of service was just right — not rushed, but efficient. The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting, great for both casual dinners and special occasions.
Overall, Azal Restaurant & Hall delivers on both taste and experience. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for great food in the Bronx, and I’ll definitely be returning soon.

All the items we ordered were really good and the service was excellent. We tried Kabsah Chicken, Lamb Haneeth, Lebm Sagar, and Fahsah Shrimp. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and well prepared. Overall, a great dining experience.
Definitely recommend!

I had a really disappointing experience here. I placed a late-night pickup order for lamb haneeth, lamb kabsa, and chicken fahsa. When I got home (after driving nearly two hours back to Long Island), I realized they completely messed up my order, one lamb dish was missing, and instead I received some random chicken stew with no rice that smelled and tasted terrible.

The one lamb dish I did get was extremely dry and flavorless. To make things worse, the prices listed on the menu don’t match what you’re actually charged , it’s about $5 more per dish at checkout.

When I called the next morning to explain, the person on the phone was rude and dismissive, saying they wouldn’t refund me unless I came back in person , no apology or effort to make things right. Very unprofessional service and poor food quality. Definitely not worth the trip or the price.

It’s an absolutely bad place with worst tasting yemeni food. We ordered lamb kabsa and they gave us old stinky fried chicken. Their chicken fahsa was old and smelly and lamb in lamb haneeth was dry. It was the worst experience ever and when we called to tell them that we didn’t get lamb kabsa and the guy was extremely rude and asked us to drive from long island to bronx so he can process refund which he can do over phone. No courtsey and he didn’t apologize and just cut the call.

Azal offers a reliable and enjoyable Middle Eastern dining experience, though it doesn't quite rise to the level of truly memorable. Located in a bustling strip mall, the restaurant's unpretentious exterior gives way to a pleasant, moderately-decorated interior. It's a comfortable spot for a weeknight dinner, and while it lacks some of the vibrant atmosphere of other spots, the casual and clean setting is perfectly functional.

In all fairness, I appreciate effort and good manners especially in the world we live in today as this is very hard to come by. The servers, I wish I asked their names, were VERY polite and patient with us. I went there with 2 of my sisters and we were very chatty and struggled to get to the menu lol. They did not make us feel rushed in any way. The presentation of the food was very nice. I give 5 stars for this because intention is very valuable.

However ☝🏼 please address cleanliness of walls by the booths. My sisters and I joked in regards to not looking and stay focused on eachother and food. Hummus and Naan were absolutely delicious 🤤 the chicken itself on all our platters were sadly tasteless. Still very edible and not deserving of extreme criticism. We left with full bellies.
Thank you for your service and efforts 🙏🏼🤍

This restaurant used to be a good place but now it changed. It's almost empty all day, they lost most of their customers because the food getting bad. When you ask them about certain types of food they tell yes we have it but when they put on the table you find something else
