I’ve been coming here for years and usually spend $50+ every visit. The staff has always treated me well and made my smoothies right—until I had to deal with the so-called owner. The last two times I came in, he was extremely rude and unprofessional.
The first smoothie he made for me was hot, and when I asked him to add ice, he rolled his eyes and acted annoyed instead of just fixing it. The next time, it was the same thing—huffing, puffing, and giving me attitude when I asked for the ingredients I always get. He sat on his phone, acted irritated the whole time, and finally told me, “I’m the owner, I don’t care if you don’t like it.” He even told me he doesn’t care if I’m a loyal customer.
That told me everything I needed to know. I left the smoothies on the counter and walked out. I used to come here regularly and spend good money, but I will never come back as long as that’s how the “owner” treats paying customers.
In an area where you don’t find many healthy options, it’s great to have Banana Queen. The smoothies are delicious and refreshing and the come in various sizes and flavors. All you do is pick, pay and enjoy! They even have tasty beef, cheese and shrimp pastelito choices. I have only paid with cash so I’m not sure if the take electronic forms of payment. Staff is super friendly and it’s clean. I would definitely recommend.
