OBVIOUSLY PEOPLE WHO GAVE IT 5 STARS NEVER ATE IN ITALY OR SPAIN OR GREECE. I JUST GOT BACK ROM A 3 MONTH STAY IN ITALY THAT I DO TWICE A YEAR AND I LISTENED TO SOME FRIENDS WHO SAID THEY ATE WELL HERE. THE SALAD WAS FULL OF MAYO JUST TO MAKE YOU SICK. THE OLIVE OIL ON THE TABLE WAS NOT GENUINE OLIVE OIL. CHEAP BREAD ON THE TABLE. I HAD NOT EATEN THE ENTIRE DAY SO I ATE HALF THE SALAD AND I AS SICK THE ENTIRE NIGHT. THE PLACE IS DARK AND DEPRESSING. IT SHOULD HAVE MORE LIGHT. YOU WANT TO EAT WELL, GO TO ETHOS ON 51st AND 1st IN MANHATTAN OR AMOS OR AVRA. THIS WAS A TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE FOR ME. THE WAITER WAS FAST AND ACCOMMODATED US, BUT THE FOOD WAS INEDIBLE.

Went here with a big group (~10 people) and they handled it like pros! Service was great and we waited a little for our food, but not too long considering the size of our group and the fact they brought everyone's dishes out at once. I got the penne alla vodka and it was great. It was a large portion and the sauce was creamy and tangy at the same time, with a small hint of sweetness. For dessert we shared some chocolate fudge cake and it was rich and sweet, and came paired with whipped cream and ice cream that had a hint of cinnamon. A unique and tasty flavor profile. Overall I would definitely recommend Beccofino, for big or small groups!

They lost a Customer tonite. I believe our main course orders were lost in the Kitchens shuffle, and tables seated after us were served promptly, and waiter did little to monitor or remedy. When they finally arrived, they both seemed thrown together. One was oversauced but ok so we shared it. The other had been half cooked, really hard, and then finished at a high heat so that the sauce was visibly burned. Waiter was AWOL, then said we should have complained earlier but by the point it finally came out we were not up to any further delay and just wanted to eat and leave. Not a real apology and certainly no concession or offer of Wine or dessert (both of which we would’ve declined but it’s a gesture).

Dined here for the first time this evening. Very good food. Small Italian restaurant which gives it a cozy feel. The pasta is homemade. Very good salad. The best mozzarella and peppers I had to start. The menu consists of daily specials and fish, chicken, veal, eggplant and steak. Their clams recipes sound very tempting too.

Penne with chicken is fire and good price compared to the other spots like Antonio trattoria which taste worse small portion and pay extra for protein protein I def recommend this place I’m looking forward to trying more that on the menu 🤤👍
