Food is banging tbh. It does take long to arrive most of the time, but it’s because it’s made fresh. The service can be a bit slow and the atmosphere an be updated but the point is to reflect a traditional island restaurant that emphasizes homemade seafood dishes which is what I recommend.
My friends and I came here for my birthday. The food was amazing! We had a crab mofongo as an app. You could actually see the chunks of crab meat. It was delicious! I ordered oxtail stew as an entree. It was tender, juicy, and well flavored. The drinks were really good as well. My favorite is the Dominican kiss. The restaurant had festive music and a family atmosphere. I can't wait to go back.
The price of breakfast is very cheap. You can have a large plate of American breakfast for less than $10, and it will take a while to make it to order. There were not many diners when I visited, but the service needs to be improved. The water glass was empty and no one came to refill it.
