Don’t know why this has mixed reviews cause my experience was pretty decent, portions were good, service was excellent, the lady who served me went above and beyond to get me a nice plate and the food was good as well rice and peas with oxtail, the rice was soft and the meat was tender and juicy, absolutely no complaints, will come back to try their jerk chicken which they had ran out for the day when I came in, keep up the good work!

I just wanted to take a moment to share how much I enjoyed my recent visit. The Caribbean food was absolutely delicious — full of flavor, perfectly seasoned, and truly authentic. From the tender jerk chicken to the perfectly cooked rice and peas, everything tasted homemade and fresh. The portion sizes were generous, and the staff was warm and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. It’s clear that a lot of care goes into the food and service, and it really shows. I’ll definitely be back soon and will be recommending you to friends and family looking for real, good Caribbean food.

Curry chicken and curry goat were delicious! Portions were large, prices and service were good. Oxtail and salmon also looked good, will have to check them out next time - I’ll definitely be back.

Expect attitude ! serving your average Jamaican food and , a bit expensive for the local Bronx Neighborhood area. I’ve been coming here for years and recommended my family, neighbors ,clients and work colleagues and organizations. Unfortunately, I made a choice not to continue supporting.

Hands down, the best Jamaican food in the 5 boroughs!

As a Jamaican and someone whose mother-in-law owned two restaurants, I don’t say this lightly — I’ve been searching for over 2 years for authentic, quality Jamaican food that hits all the right notes. Caribbean Sunshine Restaurant does just that!

The flavor, the care, the consistency — it reminded me of home. Real home. Not watered down, not overhyped — just honest, flavorful, soul-satisfying Jamaican cuisine done right.

I work in Manhattan, and it takes me about 40 minutes to get here. That should tell you everything — because it’s worth every single minute.

My only complaint is sometimes the music is too loud or the oxtail run out too fast,Lol, besides, I think I was maybe disappointed in the food once, just once, in 2 years.
Every other time has been 5 star!

I’m not easy to please, but I always leave full, smiling, and planning my next visit.

I usually order curry goat or chicken, I like how they make it.
I don't like legs/drumsticks, so I typically ask that they don't serve me any legs and they always do, even going so far as to have my order with nothing but legs. Disgusting.
I have ordered from this restaurant numerous times from Grubhub.
My order is always canceled, through the restaurant.
I don't know what is going on but, this is terrible business and terrible service.

Brown skin lady with the box braids is very nasty and rude will look at you walk in store and just sit down not take your order they dont welcome you they stare at you like your lost they want you to speak first they dont follow instructions just nasty attitude that energy goes into the food and than you serve the brown skin lady has really nasty attitude

The restaurant was open but the food wasn't ready. I'm a vegetarian, and each vegetarian dish I asked for the server stated it wasn't ready. There wasn't much to choose from. Very disappointed 😞

The curry goat is sooooo good. It’s tender and even for a small I got a lot of meat. 10/10
