Very cozy ordering experience, however, the pizza was trash. I ordered a 4 cheese pizza 12' & it was so bad I couldn't finish it.
I walked down the street to Bella & ordered a regular slice for 1/6th the price. The Bella slice was almost as big as the 12' from Proper & the Bella slice was 10 times as good.
I called & told them the pizza wasn't good & requested a discount or a free pizza & they rudely declined.

The vibes were immaculate the staff was very friendly and accommodating and the pizzas were out of this world! It was great to see this location come to NYC as I had missed proper pizza from Albania. The flavors were different from the ones from Albania but were just as good! I would heavily recommend the truffle pizza and 4 cheese! Out of the red sauce pizzas you should definitely try the macho pizza
Kid-friendliness: We had 2 kids with us one 10 and one 11 month old and the staff was friendly and atmosphere was inviting. It’s a good spot for all ages. I also used to go to proper Albania as a middle schooler and this place made me feel like a cool adult.
It was missing the pizza for me. It was fresh bread with a hint of cheese and sesame seeds no sauce. Can’t call that a proper pizza.

My Mother, Brother, myself & my husband went to Proper Pizza today July 4th 2024. It was our first time eating there and it definitely won't be our last. All of us enjoyed our pizza! We had ordered half cheese & pepperoni well-done which had 8 slices it was really really good!!!! It was our first time having Sesame Seeds on the crust we were all glad that none of us are allergic to Sesame Seeds. It was really different but so good. We also noticed that the pizza wasn't heavy on the sauce which is so good especially for people that suffer with stomach conditions.It wasn't greasy I'm so glad that it wasn't because I'm one and also my husband are one of those people that have suffered with stomach problems throughout our lives and it definitely isn't fun!!!!! Until next time we will eat to our hearts ❤️ content!!!!

Big box, small flavor. I was disappointed with the size of their biggest pie; the pizza did not touch the sides. There was at least two inches all around. And flavor was not there. Very disappointing and I will not return. Many other locations in area that are way better.

Hella cute place, we got here right before noon and the atmosphere is so inviting and chill. The customer service was also amazing, they were really nice and the overall ambiance was chill. I wasn’t used to séase seads to be the crust but it added a pop of flavor so 9.5/10.

First of all, who has plush seating in a pizza spot? Proper does! And while I waited for my individual size pep to be made to order, I decompressed from the heat and enjoyed good mush and good vibes! Now for the food. I asked for no sesame seeds not because I am allergic but because they tend to get stuck in between my teeth. My pizza came with sesame on the crust anyway. No worries. The reason why there are no pictures is because I devoured the thing before I could think to take any. So.stinkin’,good!!!! Crust was think but not overly crunchy (how did they do that?) and the pep was the freshest I have ever had. Not claiming to be a pepperoni expert, but these definitely hit different. Run don’t walk…
