We're big fans of this restaurant so when they announced lunch of course we had to be there for the first one! The food was amazing! We ordered the eggs in purgatory and the steak & eggs. Absolutely delicious!!

My family and I came here for dinner, we were seated by the waiter. We waited and gave in our order. Let me start by saying everyone was asked how their food was and our family ended up being the last ones they came to ask. Not to mention everyone who came after us ended up getting their food before us! While we sat and waited!! We felt so out of place! Really wished we had received better service and attention as the others did! We will not be returning! WE ORDERED THE GRILLED WINGS AND THEY CAME OUT RAW! A BIG NO NO!

We were there to celebrate my 78th birthday. Everything was excellent, including imaginative and well prepared food, fair prices and nice wine list (it didn't hurt that we just happened to hit 50% wine Wednesday!), and delicious desserts. The owner welcomed us and spent some time explaining some of the dishes. It was a first time visit for us and I now place them at Number 1 on the City Island restaurant hit parade! We will be back.

We have passed this place numerous times on our nightly walk and always say " we have to try this place", We finally did Saturday night. From the minute we walked through the door the service was outstanding, we got our drinks and ordered the rice balls for an appetizer And I got linguine with clams for dinner and my husband got the lasagna. The food was fantastic and generous portions, the nicest touch was the staff checking that everything was to our liking. Our evening ended with complimentary dessert which was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back.

What a beautiful evening. Took my wife out for date night here and it was perfect. From Tevin the waiter to Kerri the manger and rest of staff just attentive and welcoming. Food was cook to perfection and was not rushed…. And to end the evening, their tiramisu ice cream was to die for. Thank you city island team for a great experience . All the best and much success to you guys. I see nothing less.

My wife and I went there for Sunday gravy. It reminded me of the time when we went to dinner with grandma. The salad was fresh and very tasty and the meatballs and sausage were delicious. We had the Pinot noir with dinner which really hit the spot

While I think the pizza at this new location is pretty good, I also think the owner may be missing the mark, trying to do boutique pizza or something. This is the Bronx after all, and as such people expect classic Bronx pizza, not some fancy schmancy triple-yeasted dough with a sprinkling of broccoli rabe for color or whatever the heck it is.Probably won't be coming back.

We love City Island Pizza. The food is always fresh, reasonably priced (we ordered the Sunday pasta special, a great deal.) The staff is SO friendly and helpful. And....I left my credit card there by accident and they bothered to track me down on Facebook. Above and beyond!
The carbonara was absolutely ridiculously good, it's worth coming for that alone. Local in house sausage, a great steak dish, the pizza is solid. There's something for everyone at a reasonable price point. I would recommend if you're looking for a relaxing evening to have drinks and quality food with loved ones.
