I've been going here for years and went last night around 9pm for take out. The women that served me were friendly, engaging, professional and prompt. They made suggestions about additions for my meal. The portions were generous and we talked about the DR and Presidente beer. When I got home to eat, the food as always, was absolutely delicious 😋. Thank you Prospect Ave Cucuifritos!!! ☺️
I would go to war for this place to keep existing. They have great food and I love the frituras. Pollo guisada with arroz is my go to, along with morcilla and alcapurria. My go to for good Latino food.
The food is mediocre at best. Pastellios barely have any Carne in them and are full of oil. Same goes for all other fast food items. I've ordered the mofongo con chicharron, baked chicken, chicken stew, white rice and red beans as meals. The chicharron was dry/over cooked or just plain old, same goes for the baked chicken. Also the baked chicken had no flavor, what??!!! The white rice was okay while the red beans were flavorless and watery. The restaurant is old and outdated...
