My last time there, I bought soup sometime in 2024 (did not have time to complete a review at that time)and it was the worst experience in my life, came home with it and when I served it had a little piece of wire in, looked like the ones the supermarket use to hold the cilantro together. I called them and the girl that served my soup said they will give me a credit for a next time, never ever back there. đŸ€ź

Passed by the area today and it was closed let's hope they changed owners, this place is not a 5 star restaurant, food is dry not seasoned, not sure who they saving all the meat for, if you order beef stew they serve you so much sauce and potatoes and 3 pieces of beef if you order roast pork it's dry and they serve you the grease pieces and on top they place some pork and god forbid you ask for some skin they cut you a piece a small tiny piece, forget about carne Frita it's like you're eating cardboard not sure if it's on purpose they over cook it or what! Then if they feel they served you too much they start removing it. They all have attitudes like if they giving you the food for free they are overpriced and not worth it first time I bought food for some friends from out of town and it will be the last time,

The rice was mushy as well as the plantains. The beans taste like "Bush baked beans". The chicken was okay. I don't speak Spanish and no one in there spoke "english" 🙄 I should have read the reviews before I had friend ask me to get her spanish food. Never again will I come to this restaurant.

My meal was white rice, stewed beans and steak, which by the way some pieces were too thick and tough. The food was average, on the other hand they ordered tail, eggplant and moro, which they told me that the food was not good. I tried the tail sauce and it had that flavor that if you don't wash it well the meat tastes like pure tail. I ordered a tamarind juice and it was stale, I didn't like it at all. On the other hand, the bathroom door doesn't close properly, you have to apply tremendous force, I couldn't lower the toilet lever, I don't know it was very hard (like it didn't have water) when I went to take the paper, the plastic that covers it was protection came upon me ???? “more salt than goat” (a Dominican saying)

I ordered the goat with rice and beans. The goat was all bones and no meat. I called the restaurant to complain about the goat; they said they only recalled giving me one big bone. Why would you give me that? They then blamed me for them giving me the goat with no meat on it because I should’ve have seen that it was all bone in the first place. My fault for thinking I was going to actually get meat!?

Anyway, their customer service was terrible. The woman I spoke to had a bad attitude. After going back and forth they told me to bring back the plate, which I did. When I got there the woman snatched my plate out of my hand with aggression and slammed the plate on the table. Picked out the bone and asked me where was the meat? I explained to her, just like I did on the phone, that I tried to get as much of the little meat possible off of the bone and how I was unsatisfied with the meal. She then proceeded to the cash register and handed me my money back.

Will never go back there again.

The food was very delicious and the service was very good. I called, they treated me very well and the delivery did not take long at all, excellent service.

As it was slow in there, service was very slow, servings were very little to what we had to pay the bill was for , we recommended white rice but I guess it was too hot to cook more white rice ? Yes we were kind of a big family but there is no way you don’t have a specific amount of plates to serve around in your restaurant. So big family’s be prepared to share off the same plate and expect very little of everything besides “meat” of your choice

I've been to El Jobo several times. The service is good and the food is delicious. Somewhat pricey, but I understand because it's a restaurant. My favorite is the fried fish with either beans/rice or sweet plantains and some mojo. Their fried chicken chunks are very good. I always takeout. I recently passed by El Jobo and I think, they might be closed. If they are, they will be missed.

They reduce the size of the plates...the medium is close to small the big plate is like a medium plate. Prices are high compared plates sizes now and they give you less food for more money....The food is common....It shows that there is no effort for good stews..... Food is normal food. No big deal..... But it seems they are selling you 24k gold.... The plates are expensive, and be careful.........they reduced the size of all the aluminum plates in width, and height to give you less food for the same price or even more expensive..... The medium plate is today the same as a small one in size and the largest one is like the medium one from before. Let's protest gentlemen. What fools we are not.

This place is ok. But lately I am not sure what is going on the roasted chicken, they seem burnt. I had to bring it back bcuz it was so burnt and dry. The girl was nice enough to change it. Their mondongo and mofongo are very good and recommend. Sometimes they have girls at the counter that are snobby. The place is small when you eat there and the door opens you get all the cold air, not worth eating in. Like I said the food is ok, not the best.
