My meal was white rice, stewed beans and steak, which by the way some pieces were too thick and tough. The food was average, on the other hand they ordered tail, eggplant and moro, which they told me that the food was not good. I tried the tail sauce and it had that flavor that if you don't wash it well the meat tastes like pure tail. I ordered a tamarind juice and it was stale, I didn't like it at all. On the other hand, the bathroom door doesn't close properly,...
I've been to El Jobo several times. The service is good and the food is delicious. Somewhat pricey, but I understand because it's a restaurant. My favorite is the fried fish with either beans/rice or sweet plantains and some mojo. Their fried chicken chunks are very good. I always takeout. I recently passed by El Jobo and I think, they might be closed. If they are, they will be missed.
Always great food, outstanding service and up beat atmosphere. I love sitting down to eat and ordering take out but their delivery takes a very long time as expected for a high traffic area.
