If you work in or around the Bronx courthouses, this is where you should be eating. There's really nothing else that compares in terms of quality, value, and service. Great food, great people, and a great big line; for a reason!I recommend: the menu in its entirety.

A neighborhood favorite. I've gotten food here on numerous occasions. There's often a line during the lunch hour, so I would suggest coming just be for 1 pm or after 2 pm. The food is always good. I tend to stick to the chicken options with rice and peas and veggies.

We had the privilege to meet this wonderful family on Governor Island. They offer a great selection for all pallets. Did I mention it's halal, extra plus. You can tell this homemade meal is made with love. We had the j*** chicken platter and a curry chicken platter with rice/peas and cabbage (white sauce/jerk chicken sauce) and a freshly squeezed pineapple juice. This was delicious and fulfilling, the portions are great. There is seating nearby and the view is amazing. They were a variety of food trucks but this one offer hospitality and a home cooked meal, which added to our trip to GI.

This food truck comes to Columbia on Wednesdays and it's the highlight of my work week. The food is always on point. So damn good! I recommend it to everyone looking for a good meal around here.

Top 5 best chicken experiences of my life.I wasn't brave enough to try the j*** chicken because I know Jamaicans are serious about their spice and I'm weak when it comes to spicy food, but I DID get their grilled chicken and it was immaculate.Juicy, tender, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and not so salty you need to spoon the rice and salad into your mouth after every bite, like you have to do with food that's well seasoned but overwhelming.I could eat a bucket of the chicken straight up.I also had the rice and peas, which were also delicious and well seasoned, flavorful but not overwhelming, and the platter comes with 2 sides so you can get a side salad/veggies too, which I got, but I think I might've accidentally opted out of salad dressing lol.Even though the rice and peas and the chicken were both flavorful, they still went together really well and never became too salty together or individually, which is kinda common with really flavorful delicious food.Super well balanced and delicious lunch, more than enough food for a meal and a good price for it, even with the add-ons I got (carrot cake and passionfruit lemonade) it was still only like 20 bucks, so not bad considering how much there was, the variety of the food, and the quality. There's usually a line for lunch so definitely try to get there early if you have somewhere to be, still, I don't think I waited more than 15 minutes.I WILL be coming back and I'd reccomend it to anyone, including the vegans and the health nuts since they have a great variety of vegan proteins and vegetables, and the food is very nutritionally balanced while not skimping out on flavor. This isnt to say its good for "healthy" food, it's good PERIOD, I personally would still eat the hell out of this even if it was very "unhealthy".Vegetarian options: Lots of vegan and vegetarian options

Ate the vegetarian chicken with rice and peas, cabbage and j*** sauce. Delicious. They have a small shop at Governors Island. That’s where I had the meal but I couldn’t find that location on Google.

So much good stuff. Lentils with a little of that magic sauce probably my favorite.

First time that I have ever heard of the j*** chicken gyro ! Talk about a Jamaican fusion ! After they told me what kind of food they sold, I understood what they meant by Jamaican fusion after I ate the food. The j*** chicken was so succulent that I could not stop licking my fingers. The customer service was exceptional and they even have their own signature j*** seasoning bottled to go! It was truly great and a must have experience coming to New York City!P.S. By far the best food I have ever eaten from a food truck. I didn't know such quality can come from a food truck!

This is for Governor's Island. We got the rice platter, which you actually don't need to get rice (you get to choose 2 sides). We opted for j*** chicken + green salad + steamed cabbage, and got white sauce on top of everything. The chicken was good and tender, and the cabbage was nicely seasoned - think I may have enjoyed it even more than the chicken. It came to about ~$17 I think, so that's the knock to 4 stars, but the stands on the island probably all have some price inflation.

We are so lucky that we got Fauzia's food track in the area! Everything is very delicious and not pricey.

It's important to keep in mind this review is written amidst the pandemic. Businesses have been struggling all over, especially those that operated primarily for dine-in. That being said, Fauzia took her food via food truck and is stationed on the sidewalk at 131st & Broadway. They have select items on specific days (i.e. Lamb on Thursday, Fish on Wednesday, Goodness on Everyday). I have had the J*** Chicken, the Fish, the Lamb, collard greens, yams broccoli corn, potato and cabbage, rice and peas (beans), their hot hot sauce and their white sauce...all of it amazing. The mother and daughter occasionally work together and are very sweet, soft spoken, and help you decide if you're unsure. I don't live here, and my meals are covered, but I have a hard time venturing off to eat elsewhere when their food is readily accessible and delicious. Prices are more than reasonable for a good lunch or meal for a dinner to-go. I recommend this place and I urge you to write your review as well.
