The food here was good and then it went straight to hell. Business always start out well and then get greedy! 3/4 plate of rice and about 8-10 fatty boney oxtails with no meat for $18! SHAME on this place!

I paid $17.00 and change for Oxtail lomien which was good but I there was no Oxtails mixed in with the lomien but i did get 2 Oxtails on top of my noodles. Plus everything on display looked old. I came to this place from Harlem I wanted to try many items but the food I saw didn't look advertising.

Update: I threw up from this food!!!. I knew I shouldn't have eaten it once I looked at it but I am tired of the money I waste in this neighborhood. This is the most disgusting food i have had since being in this neighborhood. You will not pay what the menu lists...your order will have a different price. I went in and specifically asked for thr 4.99 lunch special and said is it different from the 7.99 small meal...I was ignored...they suddenly can't hear and pick up the small 7.99 size. I ask for the 7.99 wings meal and im on a call so I'm watching but listening to my call. They ask if I want fried rice I say of course because it's a meal. When I get to the register they charge me literally 11.95. I say what's going on here and she says that the price like I'm asking a wierd question. Then I have to show them the menu and suddenly now I'm told the vegetable fried rice is separate...rice comes with the meal but since they didn't have any rice that day they supposedly only had veggie fried rice meanwhile she never went to the back where the regular rice and peas is....its only 130pm and no rice??..she tells me the veggie fried rice is an extra add on now I got 3 tiny little absolutely hideous gmo wings and I got the equivalent of a 5 dollar box of rice...the wings are old and you can tell they do the super seasoning trick to cover up.
The worse part is that I clearly explained what I wanted and they played like they were deaf and then talk to me like I'm acting funny that I went from asking about a 4.99 lunch special to being given a 7.99 wing meal that was changed by them to a wings and add on special fried rice meal because they didn't feel like making regular rice that day so without telling me you just tack on a whole almost 4 bucks as if it's my fault. This is why I don't deal with many small businesses in the Bronx...the ignorance the lack of quality the lack of customer service...none of rhese people are business minded AT ALL ...they dont know how to grow a following and dthats why it been teetering on going out of business for a few years...all the televisions and posters on the walls and music means nothing...it's a cash grab and the food is all gmo and meat almost expired. It's disgusting that these people try to squeeze the most out of eveey transaction rather than connect with customers and build a relationship ensuring growth. All these businesses operate in ways they wouldn't get away with or survive with outside of low income areas where they don't expect a mostly sedentary mindset... I can't even eat this chicken it's all fat and it looks like fried donut holes more than actual chicken. For 12 dollars i can go accross the street for chinese food and have a regular entree meal combo or i cam go to Lash and get chicken and waffles or a medium meal, this is pathetic. The fact that someone felt ok putting these things that don't look or smell like chicken in my tiny 12 dollar box says it all. This is my 3rd time trying anything from thos place in 2 years and its consistently a bait and switch and the quality is consistently underwhelming. I will never be back. Oh by the way...there is literally one single sliver of a green pepper in my rice and that's all...for an extra $3.85 they calling that veggie fried rice and making it separate add on when they feel like it. I was wondering why the girl was scooping the rice so carefully and now I know it's to make sure to be very mindful not to actually put veggies in the rice because they need them to be visible in the transparent display to sell you the idea of vegetable fried rice...as if that justifies it being a 4 dollar mandatory add on anytime you don't feel like providing what you are telling people you are selling them ...shyt is pathetic. I know they had the rice...they are just trying to squeeze a buck...its very typical...make the meal and then hit you with the switch and most likely you pay for it because it'

Rasta Pasta bland not much seasoning , noodles thick and not enough sauce to cover them all , the sauce was very thin, carrots raw in the center. Fried rice was okay. It was ehh but im mad i didn’t spend elsewhere.

Listen. I usually give a nice tip.
But when I saw the server scraped the bottom of the pan for the 1st plate of Ackee & Saltfish.
I asked if there wasn't enough for the 2nd plate. She then scraped another pan that had another variation of Cod with vegetables. (Not what I order)
Added 4 fried dumplings to each order
Then, she fixed herself to confidently say $30.45,
For 2 half empty plates of So called Ackke & Saltfish.
SMH @ The portions she shared for the price.
It doesn't deserve enough for a picture!!!!
Let's say a rice spoon and 1/3 of ackee and 4 dumplings per plate. Does not equate for $30.00+
The food wasn't bad by no means .
Just if I was on a portion control diet, fine .

First of all I love Chinese food and when I heard Jamaican in front of Chinese, I was excited to try it. My first time coming here 2 years ago I devoured their fried shrimp, they were so good. This time I around we decided to try some of their food from their buffet which wasn’t so bad. I just wish the fried crab fried rice had actual crab pieces and for the food warmer to actually warm the food while is sitting there.
*You can also order fresh food from the menu to be cooked..It doesn’t have to be from the buffet area

Customer Service was great. I was in desperate need of some fried plantain (lol) and stoped here. When I got inside they said none was prepared. I explained how I didn’t want anything else that morning besides that. The lady in the front asked the Chef if he had any, he checked and they did. The chef made the plantain and it was done in no time. Im so appreciative because for them It was not about a customer only potentially spending a dollar on an order of plantain. They took the time to make someone’s day better with what ever inconveniences they might have had. Most restaurants would have said they don’t have it and wouldn’t even attempt to make more even if they could. Thank you guys and I will definitely be coming back to try things on the menu. I also ordered fried dumpling 10/10 and the plantain was perfect too lol.Declaimer: They were slow so if they can’t do it for you don’t be mad.

Some of the workers here are nice but the food isn’t. That’s why it’s generally empty in here. Wanted to love it but the food is usually cold, not that good and extremely overpriced.
The food tasted real good and I am very difficult to please. I ordered bbq chicken, plantain, fish, boil dumplings, yam, fry over dumplings, sweet and sour chicken and liver because it’s my first time and I want to know what to order next time. I took a chance that was worth it. I haven’t tried the Chinese menu as yet but I definitely will another time. I am eating and typing so I gotta go.
