I had oxtail, and it was NOT authentic tasting at all. Not the rice, not the cabbage and definitely not the oxtail. I’ve definitely had better in Brooklyn and Harlem

The service and DJ are great. The drinks are strong and some of what I ordered would’ve been better if the grease wasn’t old.

They have really great specials ever day so I will definitely come back and try other menu items like the lamb chops, curry goat, oxtail, and rasta pasta.

The high table chairs are very uncomfortable but cute. The service is ok, if something isn’t right just talk to the lady in charge. She gets the job done right. They do offer hookah. Each day has its specials check it out. WYI keep the weapons home you get checked at the door and the precinct is right across the street.

A little slow getting the food but loved the food!!!! Music a little too loud. Jerk wings and drinks were a 10/10. Music was so good just too damn loud. Took a group of 7 with a newborn.

Flava of the Bronx never disappoints! TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE $5 curry goat and $5 oxtail. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and full of that real Caribbean taste. You can tell everything’s made with care, the seasoning is just right and the portions are perfect. My plate was packed with flavor from start to finish. The staff is friendly and the atmosphere feels like home. If you’re looking for good authentic Caribbean food in the Bronx, this is definitely the spot.

One of the best spots I’ve been to since moving to NYC… absolutely worth the trip out of Manhattan! The energy, food, atmosphere all 10/10 & immediately added to my favorites list! Make sure to try the Flava Punch & Rasta Pasta 😍

Where do I start? From the moment we walked in, the service was disappointing. The owner, Janelle, displayed no hospitality whatsoever; she was rude, dismissive, and completely unaccommodating.

The restaurant was nearly empty (about 12 people total), and our party of eight should not have been difficult to serve. Yet everything from the drinks to the food was mishandled.

We ordered several drinks, but none were made correctly. When we politely raised the issue, we were told they “used whatever they had” and that if we didn’t like it, we could order something else, but we’d still be charged for the drinks we sent back. Completely unacceptable.

The chicken wings were undercooked, and the oxtail empanadas contained no oxtail, just gravy and beans. The only redeeming item was the shrimp.

We asked multiple times to speak with a manager, but Janelle repeatedly refused to come to our table or address our concerns. At one point, we ordered a drink and asked to remove an ingredient due to a food allergy; we were told they could accommodate that, but we’d be charged extra for excluding it.

To their credit, our servers Samara and Leteisha genuinely tried to help, but the owner’s behavior made it impossible. We even witnessed Janelle pull one of the servers aside to talk about us, pointing, sighing, and visibly rolling her eyes.

The drinks were poorly made and inconsistently served; some glasses were half full, and it was clear that whoever was mixing had little to no bartending experience.

To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, we were charged an additional fee for using a credit card, which is illegal under New York State law unless properly disclosed in advance, and it was not.

Overall, this was a frustrating and unprofessional experience. Management ruined the entire experience. With better management and training, the staff could shine, but as it stands, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Sweet Plantains taste good I ordered the 2 for 1 but it came in one container. West Indian Curry Goat the goat tastes good but it's a small portion size for the price. The veggies that came with the goat was very bland. The Mac & cheese has a weird taste and was not worth the price. I was disappointed. My escovitch side veggie was missing smh

From the time I walked in, I should have known it was going to be a problem. I arrived at 6 pm to celebrate my sista-girl's birthday. The host, MIA. When someone finally appeared, I was told our table was ready. I stepped outside to greet my party. Once we were all inside, we were seated. Once we were seated, we placed our orders: drinks, appetizers, and entrees for us all. The music was so loud the waitress could barely hear us, but we finally get through the order. One of my sista-girls went over her order with the waitress three times before she finally got it straight, oxtails AND mac and cheese. Nope. The order was WRONG. The waitress brought out the oxtail Mac and cheese. I digress. Finally, Our appetizers came out. We ordered the wing platter and tacos. The wings were cold. I didn't have the tacos because I was saving room for my entree, so I couldn't tell you if they were delish or not. My other sista-girl ordered the whiting with rice and peas. Nothing to write home about. She picked over it. As for myself, I ordered the rosemary lamb chops with mashed potatoes and veggies. The birthday girl, she ordered the Jamaican fest. I wish I could tell you how good or bad the food was,but I can't because me and the birthday girl never got our food. An hour and a half in this restaurant, I finally ask the waitress what happened to our entrees? She said we didn't order entrees, but we can order now. No, thank you. She was apologetic, and said maybe because of how loud the music was, that perhaps she didn't hear us. I said, but you repeated it back to us. At this point, I just wanted to go, but before we left, we spoke to the manager. I simply stated, you have the music so loud your staff can't even hear. We have to shout to give our orders, we have to shout to have a conversation amongst our party, why have it that loud? I understand after 9 pm, but it's 6 o'clock, dinner time. The manager said the waitress should have told the DJ to turn the music down. I, in turn, replied, I just brought it to her attention when she said the music was too loud, and she didn't get our order. We have 4 people at a table and only 2 people are eating? Get a clue. This was a terrible experience. I'm home now at 10 pm eating baked ziti my momma made. We paid 185.00 for drinks, appetizers, and 2 entrees. I wish this establishment the best of luck. They're going to need it if they expect to have longevity in this business.
