Golden Krust Caribbean Restaurant

They changed the small size to an even smaller size and the large is smaller now too. It isn’t worth it anymore.

Stopped in yesterday around 4 pm. It was relatively empty. Stood at the counter waiting (with Walker mind you) for a good 8-10 minutes just watching this lady play musical chairs with the food trays and busy herself cleaning & wiping and ignoring me and another customer waiting to order. That usually doesn’t happen here. Maybe this lady is new idk. Anyway… just wanted some red pea soup and a slice of cake. The red pea soup is exceptional and I love that it’s not overly spiced like some other Caribbean spots in the area. I always buy the pineapple coconut cake here but it’s gotten so pricey and if you are lucky enough to actually find pineapple in it you’re lucky. That seems to be the new trend these days. Less for more. I really need to start baking again!

The food is always good but the service needs improvement. The young and boney dark skin lady with the very short hair who was serving the food at 4pm on Friday, July 25th needs to learn patience and manners.

She had an attitude with people who took a couple of minutes to decide what they want, and didn't order right after entering the store.

Whether or not I take 30 seconds or 10 minutes to decide on what I want, she gets paid either way so lose the attitude. She sounds like she's upset with her life and is taking it out on customers.

MOVE HER TO THE BACK AS DISHWASHER ONLY PLEASE. She has no manners. She's making the restaurant atmosphere very hostile.

Thank goodness she did not end up serving me, one of the nice bleachers served me. I would not want her horrible energy to rub off on my food.

Great place, the food is lovely. However, you guys fail to use gloves. Why aren't gloves being used in Golden Crust Restaurant? It doesn't matter how much an individual washes his)her hands, using gloves to serve food to the public is a foundational practice. Please use gloves when serving food.

Seems to me like every Golden Krust that I go to the servers fail to use gloves. This is so sad. Good food but no gloves is just ridiculous. This is becoming a problem and just might end up on a viral video.

They say they close at 10Pm They close at nine So if you wanna eat, do not come at 9:20 Because they are closed and cleaning But if you’re already here you can take the 28 down to the one next to the 5 train

Second Saturday night I’m buying soup and you guys stretch it with way too much water and all wash out all the flavor out of the soup. If the soup is finish just say so and stop selling people nasty soup.

Just brought saltfish Fritter was all dough no salt fish they go up on price but the quality is a zero. Very disappointed for the second time. Before the price increase fritter was good. Whoever the owner need to do better. The Sslt fish Fritter should be called. SALTFISH DOUGH FRITTER.

I just received a oxtail meal and it was awful. I am really surprised for this location. The oxtails were dry so though they were not cooked in gravy and the peas and rice was dry not freshly cooked. I paid $ 27 for this dry meal.

How come the chicken patty doesn’t taste the same anymore?

My experience has always been amazing, both in person and online. This is my favorite restaurant. Paul has been doing an amazing and excellent job. He takes his time to go to the limit in making sure his customers are happy and meals are prepared how we requested. They are trustworthy and I thank God I have somewhere I don’t have to ever be concerned about when ordering online. Keep up the good work PAUL….?????????????
