I always enjoy going to Jakes- food and drinks are always good. Staff is always attentive without being intrusive. Never feel like they trying to rush you out.
We were 5 people and went for lunch and we're seated on the main level at a nice round table in front of the windows. Everyone was very pleased with the service and the food was scrumptious. Two people ordered the Reuben and said it was beyond delicious and three people ordered chicken and were very happy.
Our server... I think he meant well but he lacks proper training and polish and I suppose that's would be more of a reflection on leadership than him (if he's new to customer service that is...) there were several uncomfortable moments. It made us rethink our choosing Jake's :(
Dinner was disappointing due to the waiter's dismissive response to my overcooked steak. I ordered a medium porterhouse, but most of it was well done. He showed me three slightly medium pieces and insisted it was as requested, which felt condescending. I know quality steak, and this wasn't it. Instead of a “gotcha moment,” he should have acknowledged the mistake. I refrained from making a scene out of respect for my wife, hoping for better service next time.
The price is relatively high, but the portion sizes of the food are very small. In particular, the steak is just average. When you order a steak in many steak restaurants, they usually offer side dishes like broccoli or mashed potatoes. However, these are all a la carte. A single potato costs $12, and a small portion of broccoli also costs $12, and it's really tiny. The taste of the food is truly very ordinary.

It's a Great Steakhouse, but last night 2 of us delighted in delicious fresh tuna and salmon main courses, while our companion had a yummy pork chop. I also savored a giant Bang Bang Shrimp appetizer, while they reveled in varied salads. All this, plus fabulous creme brulee desert, was available on their standing Prix Fixe menu (excluding Saturdays), at an amazing $46 per person. I have loved Jake's since my first visit in 2005, and every meal continues to please! The space is lovely, upstairs and down. Only drawback is that many clients are quite boisterous.
Food was simply amazing. I had the filet mignon and the Mrs had skirt steak. Both were absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection. Service was incredibly unbelievable. Will definitely be back again soon.

Food is always great as is the service, sat on the 3rd floor view of the Park, a great place! My server Alicea was excellent as was the busboy.
I was there to celebrate a family member's birthday and the service was on point, but the food was not good. I ordered shrimp scampi and it was brought to me lukewarm. The shrimp was not fresh and tasted rubbery, I sent the plate back and I ordered steak which was fine. But I will not be returning

My family and I went to Jake's on Sept. 7th. Two member of our group had never dined at Jake's before. Everyone agreed the food was outstanding and the service was excellent. Definitely a 10. We will be back.
I love Jakes. The food is superb, the service friendly and relaxed, and usually we have a wonderful time. We still did for the most part, however, there's that little cubbyhole where we were seated this time - I think it has 6 tables in it. Because it was early, we had a lovely time and good conversation but as that area filled, it was impossible to hear each other. The people at the next table were screaming with laughter, and they should be able to do so, but it really put a damper on my table's conversation. Great food - really - we love the place - I will remember to ask for a booth, which is usually quieter, even by the bar, or a table near the window. That in-between cubbyhole, while nice, made for frustrating coffee and dessert conversation trying to catch up with good friends. Sorry. Still love Jake's though. Just remember - people who come really want to have conversations with their friends - that's part of the pleasure too.
We sat on the top level in a corner spot that was a perfect private spot. The food and service was great!
It is my 4th or 5th time coming into this restaurant and every time I come I love it even more, great service, attention, food and the staff is super friendly and helpful, I fully recommend coming into this restaurant
The resturant had a lovely setting. Our table attendee was AMAZING!! she wore alot of earrings lol. The salmon was a bit dry, but I give it a 4. Had to use all of the mustard sauce on it. My son-in-law steak he said was delicious. Desserts were super good. YES, in all I would eat there again.
