Having dined here many times over 13-years, I was annoyed when the manager refused to give us a 20% discount because I misread the online invitation. Bad customer service. Very cheap and you've lost a regular customer. I'll never dine there again and will dissuade others from dining there.

We were greeted upon entering and seated immediately. The food was terrific, as always, and prepared as ordered. The service was not up to the usual level of attention, as there were long periods of time between sightings of our server.

We go to JAKES very often because it is a warm and welcoming restaurant, with a wonderful staff and excellent food. The steak menu is extensive and the steaks are delicious, with a good choice of tasty side dishes. Having valet parking is very welcome, as well. Jakes is our go to restaurant, with many other diners sharing our opinion as well, judging from the nice atmosphere in the restaurant.

Jake's used to be amazing, however, they seem to have fallen since COVID. I won't be returning for a while. Hope they can figure it out and get back to how they used to bed.

Everything we ate was delicious: fried pickles, clams oreganata, thick bacon for appetizers; ribeye and skirt steak cooked to perfection. Our server Teddy was jovial, friendly and very knowledgeable. The entire experience was very nice!
I had not been there for several years but it was every bit as good as I remember. Prices were high but then again where are prices reasonable. My son and grandson and I had a great time.

We were delighted to return to the "Old Neighborhood" to commemorate a special occasion. Our server, Merissa(sp?) was very attentive and professional, as was the busboy. The food/beverages keenly matched the perfection of service, not just in visual appeal, but also in quality and refined taste. Our afternoon lunch experience across from where my kids romped around during the annual NY Philharmonic concerts; attended historical events at Van Cortlandt House and as young adults golfed with their Dad at the Oldest Public Golf course in the US, brought back fond memories. It was simply, and sublimely -- just "lovely"! I will definitely return to this gem of a restaurant and enthusiastically, herein, recommend a visit.

Went for a dinner date a few weeks back, prices a bit inflated for the Bronx but it's okay. They close at around 10pm so I felt that I was being rushed to finish my meal since they brought the appetizers and then the main course shortly thereafter after. Steak was very good but their steak sauce tasted rather generic.

A beautiful jem in the Bronx!.. I/we loved everything about this place. Soon as yu walk in you feel welcomed! Staff presentable and pleasant! The ambiance is beautiful. Family orientated yet romantic! The food was excellent! My steak was cooked to perfection! Our 11yr old enjoyed her Calamari. Service was great!.We definitely coming back!
