Food didn’t meet my expectations. I had fried fish, mac salad, mac & cheese & black eyed peas was not all that… the Mac salad was nasty they could of let the elbows cook a little more .. The Mac & cheese was DECENT, only good thing really was the banana strawberry cake!
Best service and atmosphere I experienced during my time in New York. The owner made me and my friends feel like family super welcoming and genuine. The food was fire! I had the ribs, black-eyed peas, rice, greens, and yams everything was seasoned perfectly and the portions were huge. To top it off, he surprised us with a slice of strawberry and banana cream cake. Highly recommend if you’re in the Bronx and want good vibes and even better food!
Great food, great people, great value. Mr. Dwayne Johnson (of the second Johnson BBQ generation) was extremely welcoming. We got the rib dinner and chicken dinner and it was delicious. Mustard sauce is a must. Pineapple coconut cake was exactly what we wanted. 10/10, no notes.
