JP's is a bit laid back, with laid back music, but that's what I love about it. It's not bougie like some of the other restaurants on City Island. And because it's off the main street it doesn't get the attention it deserves. Also, to some their prices may seem high, but the large portion size you're getting is why it's priced that way. In any other restaurant, if you ordered ravioli, you'd probably get 5 pieces on your plate. JP's...
The best seafood restaurant I have ever eaten at in NYC. The owner prioritizes his patrons and the quality of the food and service is exceptional. If you want enjoy a meal with beautiful views of Long Island Sound and great atmosphere you have to eat a meal at JP's Restaurant.
Great views and great service. The server was extremely nice and even packed our food for us to go. The food shrimp and lobster were a tad bland but the star of the show was the stuffed fish.
