I absolutely LOVE this restaurant. My favorite dish from them is rice with curry goat or oxtail gravy with fried shrimp. The fried shriiimppp? *chef’s kiss* every single time! Love it here

Been going there for years!!!!
I’m a first timer buying from them. I bought the Shrimp Roti on DoorDash …..
Best Shrimp Roti I’ve ever had in the South Bronx. 💯
Seasonings & savoriness : 10/10.
Roti Skin: 10/10 — nice & fresh with some crispy corners to it.
I was kinda shocked because you know .. it’s the South Bronx, and Spanish food is prominent over here .. but they definitely stand out for the west indie/ Caribbean food 💜 it was bomb. — Also they use real shrimp for the Roti !!!!!!

I Order from K&L all the time 2x a week actually sometime the roti is hard. So I sent a note saying, please make my roti skin fresh and soft thank you :) and they wrote a note on the bag my food was delivered in :( it made me skeptical about the food I ordered (this sounds like a new hire or someone who lacks customer service skills, in the future if a customer ask for a request please don't respond in that manner it is us who keeps the business going. Happy New Year

First time trying this place out for a quick meal. It was pretty good and filling. The one thing I liked was that the food was hot. Very hot and fresh! Some places you go to and the food isn’t always hot. More like lukewarm. The stew chicken was fresh and flavorful. The rice was nice and fresh. I will come back.

Here at K&L restaurant on 161 and 3rd Ave bx. Sign on door says no pets allowed. I go in there and there's a lady with her dog ordering food. I said oh not pets. She replied why didn't you say something, I told you server her. You should've said something. This was last week. Today 6:05pm 5 people I front of me. I and do you.have chicken soup she said yes. When I ordered the soup she said it's all gone. This was 620.pm My thing is is she sold the last of the soup let me know. Verybad customer service especially if your customer ask you. Not going back ther anymore

Horrible customer service. Always a different problem every time I visit. Very rude staff. Food is not even all worth it. No samples given out to potential buyer(s) they give you little rice and pea and little cabbage , other Jamaican restaurants fill your plate
Being the ONLY Jamaican restaurant in my Bronx neighborhood. I hate going here. I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I love the lamb ribs, which is served on Wednesdays and Fridays and they are just so tender and delicious that I actually look forward to Wednesday and Friday to make an order. They’re so soft. They just melt in your mouth so organic and clean. I love the lamb ribs. The other thing is the fried chicken is soulful. It’s tender. It’s gently crisp & delicious. KNL restaurant here in the Bronx is the best Jamaican restaurant in the Bronx. You need to stop by and try it. KNL keep doing your thing.

They’re absolutely rude here. My first bad unpleasant experience , I came to order curry chicken and white rice. I asked if I can add oxtail gravy, they responded with “no they don’t add oxtail gravy if you’re not getting oxtail”. As I was paying for my food, the lady behind me asked for oxtail gravy on her fish and rice ordered and was accommodated. I brushed it off since another person took her order and may have not been privy to the “rule”. I went in today to order oxtail and rice the lady proceeded to tell me the rice isn’t done. I asked how long until it would be ready? She responded she don’t know? I asked an estimate 10 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes? She proceeded to tell me “I can’t not tell you when the rice will be ready”. This is crazy. So long to common etiquette. I will not be returning here
