Food was very good. Sushi was fresh and tasteful. Recommend for somebody looking for sushi in the Bronx. Prices are also decent not crowded at all, but surprisingly really good food.

I was here yesterday for my first time. Our server was EIMY. She was great, very helpful and attentive. on the table, we have some fried wings, egg rolls, California rolls, alligator Rolls ,general, chicken, sesame chicken, and some kung pow chicken Also, I had special fried rice. The food was great, wonderful portion Something things 2 people can share I literally tried everything that I just mentioned. Btw I ordered a margarita and it was very good! Would I come back? Yes 100% Street parking in the front.

This was a truly unique experience, as the people and atmosphere here is actually amazing. But my experience with the food wasn't as much. I do want to keep it professional to start however, so I will keep it simple for now. I had General Tso for my main course, and for that I have absolutely nothing to say, as it was genuinely great. However, to serve as bit of an appetizer, I decided to share some sushi with my girl, and we couldn't get oirselves to finish them since it was awfully dry. Not completely a deal breaker on its own, except that also for dessert, we shared a creme brulé and some mochi, and they both were honestly terrible. The mochi had nothing to it and the creme truly wasn't fully baked/burnt or whatever you have to do to it, and it kinda ruined dessert.
All in all, I'd definitely come here again however, or order takeout, but just for a main course.
And just for something I'd like to add that I feel like is more of a me thing, was the starter they gave us. It was those thin crispy chip things (Ive seen them in Ramen before) with two sauces on the side that she described to us, but we didnt hear her at all. I never tried any of the sauces or chips before, and idk what I was expecting but it was just hilariously bad for us, except for the one thai sauce, at least I think thats what one of them were. The chips were bland tho, and when I tried the other sauce, the best way I could describe it, is absolutely nothing for like a whole second, then a sudden blast of just wasabi style spice that made me wanna cry. Im pretty sure it was hot mustard, and like I said its probably just a me thing. But I just find it so funny how bad it was that I dont think I will ever forget that taste, and it just so happened to be here. Not necessarily on them, just unique in its own right
I love coming to the Kai restaurant a couple of times a week as the service with Amy,the chefs, Bob and the owner are great! Also the food is fresh n delicious! I enjoy it for lunch and dinner. All come n try it.

I love coming to the Kai restaurant , the servers Bob n Amy n the owner are all wonderful, pleasant, friendly n knowledgeable people. Bob and Amy serve me and are very attentive and take care of your orders as you please and help with giving you whatever you need to make it a fabulous experience. The owner is very gracious, friendly and we appreciate the great service. I always come back over and over at least once or twice a week. I love the service, food & staff. It is a great place to have a nice hot meal and make friends at the same time with great, delicious food. Come here n have dinner or lunch n enjoy!
