We came to this restaurant for a Valentine’s Day dinner but left disappointed. The servers were kind, but it appeared the restaurant was understaffed and as a result service was very slow. It took an hour for the first of our three dishes to come out, but the fish was barely cooked. At that point, we decided to leave.

My family and I had an amazing time at Lava Rock Kitchen. We were looking for an authentic halal Italian restaurant and found it. We all tried different appetizers, meals, mocktails and everything hit the spot. Absolutely amazing menu, atmosphere, and service. Our server Morshed was very attentive and accommodating to our little one the entire time. Definitely a new favorite restaurant. Can't wait to be back soon.

It was my first time at this place, and I wanted to try something different, and it was an excellent decision. It's the only elegant and sophisticated place in the neighborhood. The food was very good; our selections from the menu were pasta, pizza, and chicken wings; each dish was exquisite. The service was polite and courteous, especially from Morshed, who gave us great recommendations and explained the details of the dishes we chose. We'll be back soon…

I was at your restaurant this week and felt like I got robbed. We paid over $200 and the food quality didn’t match up to the price. It tasted very generic and nothing like “authentic” Italian food. On top of that there is an automatic 18% service charge ON TOP of the taxes that you guys charge customers. It’s ridiculous. I hope you guys improve otherwise you will continue to lose more customers. You can’t rob customers like this when there are actual genuine Italian restaurants that are charging customers for less with better quality. Sure you guys are halal but the food quality doesn’t match up to the price.

Best halal Italian food in NYC. I live in Staten Island so I know what’s authentic Italian food and this place delivers that experience. I believe the lady the runs the place is Italian. Anyways the food was delicious and ambiance of the place is phenomenal for a family night out or just a dinner date with the wife. Highly recommend more Muslims check this place out.
