This place is called D’Para pica pollo. I saw them on Instagram and came from manhattan to try there pica pollo and chofan. First off the lines go outside the door which I thought was a good sign but unfortunately the wait wasn’t worth it. I’m Dominican and I know a good pica pollo but this place is absolute trash. There chicken smells bad and the batter is disgusting. The tostones taste like old oil. And there chofan is absolute garbage and it’s drench in soy sauce. I was excited thinking this was about to be pica pollo Joa and it’s pica pollo basura. $30 for a 6 piece and small chofan is crazy. Food was inedible had to throw it out. Waste my money for nothing.

We spent 2 hours waiting outside for the food to be served, that is bad customer service, I stood in line out of curiosity why I never go back, secondly the person serving seemed like a slow lazy person, and thirdly if they have so much demand why don't they take a card, There were people who, after they stood in line, could not buy because it is only cash, they have a mess, they have been working since 6 in the morning and the food was not ready at 1, they only put a few pieces of chicken and the rest they had You have to wait another half hour, and the chicken tastes just like any fried chicken, nothing different. It's not worth standing in line.

The truth is, I am Mexican and I know what a chicken pica is. I am a cook and I have worked in restaurants and first of all I tell you, 3 people and up to 4 people serving are very slow and it takes up to 40 minutes in a line to serve and the truth is not It was worth the wait, the chicken is really salty and for me people get excited with just a little bit. It's my humble opinion. My wife is Dominican and I know what I'm talking about and what I'm talking about...! And this charm 10 pieces of chicken 35 dollars nooo how is that
