I’ve always wanted to visit here and for someone who’s grown up and lived in the NYC area most of my life I don’t know what took me so long! So on Sunday my wife and I schlepped up to the Bronx from the Upper West Side…and I’m glad we did. To make what could be a long review short…Liebman’s is as good a deli as I’ve ever been too. That includes all of the great NYC delis…Katz’s, Second Avenue Deli, Stage Deli (in its prime), Carnegie, Pastrami Queen to mention a few.

The pastrami, the corned beef, the knishes, French fries and matzo ball soup were what we hope for when we step into a deli. May this place (and other delis) thrive for generations.

Went there yesterday while at my doctors office. It was 11:am, just opening. Order a pastrami sandwich and was very disappointed. Pastrami had burnt pieces and dry. Probably left over and heated on the grill since they had just opened. The frank was delicious. Food was taken out.

Such a cute deli with diner vibes seating. This is my first time at a Jewish deli and we were overwhelmed with choices. We had to wait a like bit for seats but that's because we went on a weekend and they were busy! Staff was super nice though and always came to check on us.

We ordered the potato kugel and pastrami sandwich which came with pickles and coleslaw. Their coleslaw is THE BEST. I think about it everyday. It's perfectly sweet and tart and is so addicting. We ordered coleslaw to go just so we could eat more of it at home. I didn't care for the pickles because I like sweet pickles and they were salty pickles but they were super crunchy and refreshing. The potato kugel is very yummy, especially their tomatoe gravy. The gravy made us keep coming back to nibble on the kugel even though we were so full. The pastrami is great! It's not too salty and it's not excessively fatty either. It paired well with their mustard.

This place is a gem. The music, the service behind the counter and of course the food. Would be 6 stars if it weren't for the price of their chicken noodle soup which at 17 for a quart feels painful each and anytime I shell it out because well, it happens to be on a short list of places my mama enjoys soup from so there's that.

This is actually a reveiw about food from this restaurant I ordered thru goldbelly site .. I live in Arizona now but grew up in NY and ate at this restaurant and the food was hood at least 30 years ago.. I ordered corned beef pastrami sandwich meal plan that came with knish and matzah ball soup .. sandwiches were ok but soups were bland as was the ball .. knish had strange tasting spice almost curry like ?? It cost 149 not worth it . Hate to damn a business but hopefully food is better in restaurant

SO yummy. It's pricey but the sandwiches are huge and delicious and definitely worth it. Delivery in the neighborhood is super quick.
