Lloyds cakes are a staple in our family birthdays. I forgot to order in advance because life happens, they definitely made sure I walked out with a cake and gave me an offer. It all worked out! I couldn’t be happier. The friendly staff only shined positivity. One of the owners waved at my son and was super lively. Thank you all!

I was so excited to finally get to try Lloyd’s Carrot Cake, but the service I experienced at their main store was lackluster, to say the least. No warm greeting, no acknowledgment. The guy at the counter didn’t say a word to me. He was rude, but hopefully the sweet- tasting carrot will make up for the sour customer service I received.

I would like to start off by staying what happened to this place, me being supportive local native of this bakery for my years I can fairly distinguish the level of care and love that used to go into they cake to what I received yesterday. The craftsmanship really prompted this review paying $50 to have your cake look like third grader baking project is insane. So it’s a hit and missed for me presentation sucks , cake tasting amazing.

When in NYC, Take the 1 train to VanCortland Park and walk to Lloyds for the best Carrot Cake. Moist, fresh & still delicious.
Parking: If you get to VanCortland early, you should find parking. It is not readily available. You will get a ticket. Lloyd’s was the go to for cakes, when I lived in the Bronx. Lloyds has a variety of cakes and they do sell slices.

Lloyds has been A neighborhood staple since I was a kid. They are so friendly and their carrot cakes are out of this world. I went in today to pick up a cake for my mother’s birthday and inquired about which flavor would be best, with raisins or without. The kind gentleman answered my questions and even gave me a slice of the plain carrot cake to try since I went with the ones with nuts and raisins. This is why I will continue supporting this small business. Not only are they great people, their products are unmatched!

Me and my mom used to go when there was no people and it was just us ordering. Now there's a big line each time we go and it makes me so happy that this place is finally getting more people. All of there cakes are so good & warm. There finally getting the recognition they deserve. 🥹🩷

A lil overrated. It was good but not gonna make me want to come back. Just wanted to see what the hype was about. Ever since covid, I feel funny with people dealing with my food & was bothered when I saw the lady icing a cake holding it chest height with her mouth open, breathing all over it.
