To be honest, I wouldn’t usually stop at a place like this. But I travel from a bit of a distance, and when hunger hits, I don’t always have a choice—so I end up grabbing whatever’s available. Sometimes the food is not too good, and other times it’s just ok.

I ordered a chicharrón mofongo and it was good. I also ordered a tamarind juice and it was horrible, it tasted like water with sugar, it didn't taste like tamarind at all.

THEY ARE RACIST! Bad experience. Today my husband and I went to have breakfast there. The waitress arrived with a bad attitude and asked us “What do you want to eat” and did NOT offer us the menu. We ordered a breakfast of Mangu and Coffee. They served us coffee in a paper cup and plastic cutlery. It didn't seem fair to me because the people who came in after us were attended to and served as it should be in a restaurant (coffee in a slab cup and metal utensils). Maybe because they were Dominican and we were NOT! That's not how it should be because you are paid the same. I am a restaurant owner, and that attitude is not allowed in my restaurant! It doesn't even deserve a star.
