The mangu is very expensive, 13 dollars for three hits. I always buy at another restaurant... and I'm not stingy, but I'm exaggerated ? the

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERThey treat horribly anyone who is NOT Dominican. All staff are racist. They attend and serve Dominican’s first, even though I arrived 20 minutes before! NEVER AGAIN!Estamos en el 2024!! Con esa actitud no van a llegar muy lejos ?!!!

One of the best places for Dominican food. The flavor is authentic but not too much seasoning which is great.

I've visited this place only a handful of times. The food is good, your regular homemade Dominican food. The employees make this place even more special, they'll see you walk in and wont say hi, welcome, if you're lucky you might get a glance from one of them.Expect to wait 10 minutes to get your order taken once you walk through the door, unless your a man who seems like you tip well.

Very good food, but if you sit down to eat there, you're going to have a hard time... it's better to take the food and everyone will be happy.
Lady was rude. I feel like she was being racist. As I ordered my food she said it’s to go right ? I tried to pay for my food but I feel like she kept pushing a button for it to decline. After that I Literally went across to get food and it was nothing wrong with my card.

Food 4/5 - shoutout to the mofongo Service 3/5 Ambiance 3/5: given the pricing I was expecting a nicer set up. It was large inside with plenty of seating (not always the case in nyc) but the music was super loud Prices: $$The mofongo de camarones is fire and freshly made but we got costillas de chivo (goat ribs) that were well seasoned but cold on arrival. We also got maduros (sweet plantains) which were freshly made and super hot. They weren't on the menu but we asked for them anyway. It was nice of them to make for us. The served asked a lot of questions, upsold me on having pork with my mofongo de camerones (asked if I wanted pork and I said I will take it however it comes - turns out it cost more). She forgot one of the drinks i ordered until I asked. Another waitress covered for her and was friendly. You have to order in Spanish which wasn't a problem for us. Service was fairly slow during a not busy time.I did notice this places has hundreds of reviews on Google maps and very few on Yelp which is why I'm leaving one here. It's definitely legit Dominican but not everything is made or heated to order (ex. The goat ribs were premade). Slightly pricy for the neighborhood, and the bill came with a mandatory tip (propina written on the bill) for 2 people.
