This review is for the Riverdale Mamajuana location. My partner and I went here for brunch. When we got there, they took a while to greet and sit us at a table. The restaurant was not busy whatsoever and we made reservations. They didn't ask us if we wanted anything to drink until 10 minutes later. We waited there an extra 40 minutes for our food. They did not come out with our order. They served people who came after us. Poor customer service. I would not recommend coming to this location.

I took my staff here for a staff outing, there were about 14 of us and we had picked a package ahead of time. The staff was extremely accommodating, the food was great and so were the drinks. I personally had the empanadas, chicken with moro, and plenty of Negronis to boot! We stayed for about 4 and a half hours and from beginning to end the staff was there for us. I would highly recommend this place.

First time coming to this location. On cinco de Mayo so naturally It was lively. I had the mofongitos and my cousin had the fish tacos, he said it was delicious, and my food was good as well. We ate and drank at the bar and The only thing I can say was a setback was the bar service. We had to keep repeating/reminding that we had ordered drinks. And specify. The only reason I would say it was a drawback was because we could see exactly what the bartender was doing after we’d asked for our drinks. Like there were moments the bartender wasn’t doing anything and we were just staring to see if we were going to get our drinks. Anyway I would come again and see how it goes next time.
Everything was great! Bartender was the bomb sauce (i forgot his name :(. ) But there were 2 males and 1 woman who alll collectively did amazing food and drink wise. Thank yous!!

The service was good, waiter was kind and attentive. The only bad part of the experience was ordering the food and expecting something great like the other reviews say but its not as great as everyone says the food is. It was expensive and thats when my friends and I ordered off the happy hour menu, which were appetizers. I ordered a tres leche tiramisu cake and the cake was spoiled. please be more mindful of the things you order from here not everything is great.
I’ve been going to the Mamajuana franchise since they opened indictment, and I have to be honest I felt like they lost their touch, but I went to this prime Mehana and the food was absolutely amazing and the environment was high and a great date night or drinks with the girls and great location thank you guys where an experience thank you ! Mama Juana is back!!
All of the food was delicious roasted chicken, chicken wings, sweet plantains, rice & beans & french fries). The margaritas were also good. The only issue for me was the music was way too loud. It was impossible to have a conversation and the wait staff could barely hear us.

OMGGG! I loved this place!! the AMAZING service of the staff, the delicious food and a what a very pleasant atmosphere! I really enjoyed myself! ♥️
This is our go to spot, it has great ambiance, good music, good food and the drinks are good too. I met the owner Khoury last time my girlfriends and I were there and he was awesome to us. This was a great idea and is a perfect addition to my neighborhood.
I was truly disappointed as I ate in the one in NJ and thought it would be the same in Riverdale. First I order sancocho and the size of it was less than a cup size it was ridiculous. My daughter ordered tres gulopes and it was tasteless and again the size was so small. This review is for Riverdale

Not that great. Not enough of that domi seasoning.Food was almost tasteless.Rather get that 3 golpes from the deli @ 207!!!
Wonderful service, I had an excellent experience and the food is really good. I'm not usually a drink person but, I tried the mojito and it was really good. My husband also enjoyed it both the food and the drink, I recommend the place, I will definitely go back. It's good to have a place with different amenities in the Riverdale area!!
This "Prime" location does not offer the staple dishes you can find @ the regular Mamajuana which was very disappointment. The staff was friendly but didn't speak much English with made it quite difficult to inquire about menu options.
Had take out from this spot for the first time. The café decorations was nice. Ambiance of the location was now. Will visit again for dine in. Cute

1st time at Mamajuana Cafe Prime and on 1st impression it was not good. The space is nicely designed and the staff was friendly and helpful. The place was near empty when we got there but when we put in our drink order there was a noticeable lag in their delivery. My wife's Mimosa was strangely transparent, a sign of a lack of OJ. My Michelada suffered from the same juice ( tomato) deficiency. My wife ordered pancakes and bacon and I ordered chicken and waffles with jalapeno maple syrup. In ordering I was clear to metion that I only wanted dark meat. The waitress confirmed it with me. Once again there was a lag in service. When our meals came my chicken looked great, but the 3 pieces that were in my plate were a piece of thigh, a wing and a piece of breast. That 2 white, 1 dark and there was no jalapeno in the maple syrup. Really? Because of the slow kitchen I ate what I had. BTW, my wife's pancakes were dry and tasteless and the bacon was neither crisp nor flavorful.1 more thing that you must watch. My friend had been there a few times, both with his wife alone and with other couples and never looked close enough to notice this. The the restaurant added an 18% tip to the total of the bill. Then on the credit card slip they then put in suggested tip amounts! I wonder how many unaware diners end up tipping 38%?!?!?
