Marconi Pizzeria Restaurant

My husband was having surgery in montefiore so while I waited I decided to get pizza, I use to live in the bx and bought home upstate ny, honestly pizza there sucks, so anyways my friend and I enjoy the pizza was delicious, so after I finish I went to them and I ask waiter a Spanish guy that what time they open tomorrow because I wanted to buy a few pies to take upstate, so we were talking and then this rude man I’m guessing manager said the hours and days are outside, I said EXCUSE ME? I said I don’t live nowhere near here and I wanted info because I wanted to take pizza home which is upstate, I told him no need to be rude this is the first time I come here, I was angry how he came out there was no need for that, now tomorrow I don’t know if I should waste my money on 3 large pies because he was so rude and that was no way to talk to me that way, I’m a grown as women and should be respected, I now don’t know if I want to go somewhere else and get pizza, their lost not mine…

Chicken parm was tangy and not enough parmesan cheese. Chicken francese was not lemony. Meatballs were good. Salad was good. Powdered donuts were chewy. Overall, food was not authentic Italian compared to Arthur Avenue.

Be aware of the guy who answers the phone when ordering for delivery, he is mean, loud, and charges more than what the menu advertises. He gets louder when questioned about the prices, he needs to learn proper phone etiquette.

Pizza is always good from here. Chicken parmigiana had soooo much cheese, I was in heaven. A little pricier than most pizza places but they make up for it in quality and quantity of food

Very tasty pizza, everything very generous.

This was my first time at Marconi’s and it didn’t disappoint. A Montefiore employee (& local) recommended. It was lunch time. But, my husband and I ordered dinner because we were really hungry. We received our meal in lightning speed, with all the fixings and it was delicious. We’ll definitely be back.

Wheelchair accessibility: It’s on street level so easy access. But, there’s a tricky bump as one enters through the door on the floor. Also, the bathroom is on the raised part of the dining area, a person needs to be able to climb at least 1 step to get to it.

We ordered 2 Chicken Parmesan dinners at LUNCHTIME (& while across the street from Montefiore hospital) where people and traffic are a constant.
But, these guys came through with our order right away. It was hot and delicious. The cheese and sauce were to die for.
We’re NOT from the neighborhood. However, the locals steered us right. Marconi’s is the local joint to get DELICIOUS ? Italian food.

Wheelchair accessibility: The door to the restaurant is on the ground floor so, it’s wheelchair accessible. However, there a steep bump as you enter. The bathroom is in the small dining area which is raised about 1 foot above floor level.

If I could rate the service zero I would. Cashier and another worker were both clearly sexist. They didn't want to help me but were gung ho to help my male companion. I paid and went to collect my food. The cashier looked my companion in the eyes but refused to acknowledge me and thanked him for his patronage.
