Marisco Centro Seafood Steak Restaurant & Bar

Do not order from online or doordash.... they are still listed under doordash but say they're not in partnership with doordash(but they advertise inside the restaurant that they're part of doordash). The restaurant waited an hour to say that they go by a different name than marisco centro and not what they're listed on doordash. How is that the person that's ordering problem? The new owner, who said his name is Felix, said they've gone by a new name for a month but I told him he as the new owner needs to clarify that with doordash of the name change because it allows customer to make orders and for doordash drivers to go under the assumption that they have an order. I felt so bad for the doordash driver that was kept waiting and still tipped him without getting any service. I asked where the orders/ money is going and they aren't able to say. Very suspicious that their restaurant, with their address, and menu is apparently not called Marisco Centro like advertised. I followed up with doordash to investigate and receive a refund.

The drinks are good, the food is terrible, really very bad, and apart from that the food is very expensive, if it were good there is no problem, also there is a price on the menu and when it comes to paying they charge more,

I was a regular customer of this restaurant! I have given it the benefit of the doubt several times although I have had a few bad experiences when ordering. But today it came to an end because I ordered a Grouper Fish with white rice and stewed pigeon peas. The rice the fish was salty super salty. I called, spoke to one of the girls who works there and gave her my complaint. She simply apologized and told me that was strange! Well, I told him to contact the manager. Finally, they said that they were going to give me a credit of 10 dollars, so I called and told him that they'd better send me tostone with baked chicken! Well, they sent it to me but it was as if reluctantly that it doesn't even give me any pleasure to eat! They lost a customer because of such bad service and food! My money wasted, the most unpleasant thing is when you spend your money and don't provide a good meal and customer service! My favorite place for Dominican food. Sol was so helpful and sweet and helped me choose which types of food by explaining everything patiently. A wonderful staff person that makes me want to come back every day. The food is made fresh and it’s authentic Dominican food according to the locals. The place is beautiful and modern and clean. BTW if you get a special to go you can get a free can of (ginger ale or Sunkist). But if you eat in you don’t get the free soda. They already include 15% tip on your bill so no need to pay extra beyond the bill unless you want to. And if you get the grilled salmon steak special which is $11.95 and includes 2 pieces of maduro (sweet plantain) and rice it has bones. But if you get the fillet salmon they debone it and it’s more expensive at $24.95 and comes with 2 sides.

On Mother’s Day i went for lunch and we basically ate dinner ,everything we ordered took way too long . We ordered piña colada’s that took 30 minutes. We ordered 4 pastelitos that came out one hour later . We went in at 2pm and the food didn’t come out until 4pm . My Dad’s fist was baked and it was extremely salty. The white rice was cold and I think we ate the hard part of the rice . I would suggest to bring bread and butter to the table to give your customers something to eat while they wait. It looks like they go fishing before they bring your food out .I might add the virgin piña colada’s were delicious, Not a place I would recommend to grab something quick to eat .

The food is very delicious and the service is excellent.

Just happened to be in the neighborhood and came across Marisco Centro.. the glass doors were open to the street and it was very inviting. They also had a sign out for lunch specials, which were very reasonable, and good selection, so I sat down. I chose the grouper with white beans and white rice, which was excellent! I'm so glad I passed by?
