A wonderful neighbor of mine knows that I have a mean sweet tooth, especially when it comes to chocolate. I was told by them that this particular bakery has a vast selection. I told them I'd always loved chocolate mousse, but hadn't had any in years. For my birthday in January of this year, I was surprised by my neighbor with the BEST cake I've ever eaten. It was rich without being overwhelming and there were layers of mousse throughout the cake. And to top it all off, they wrote in the prettiest handwriting Happy Birthday in pink. It was truly a cake to top all chocolate cakes. Duncan Hines you may be rich and moist, but you've got nothing on Frank & Annamaria's!

Absolutely the best bakery cakes, pies, cannolis, pastries and cookies in the area. This is indeed a historic gem in the Bronx.

I wish I could rate this bakery less than 1 star because when I went to pick up my order the staff was rude and these girls were very busy on their phones and I feel sorry for disturbing them. Also I had the worst cake of my life. I had it made on order and the sponge was very dry, it was falling apart and it tasted as if it had been sitting for a couple of days. It was the most tasteless cake I have ever had.

Man o man! Pray for my waistline ! So many delicious options but, the lobster tail was calling my name! I had the option of choosing a custard or, cannoli filling and decided to go with both- when in Rome! The custard was my favorite because it was so light and airy, not dense at all and just paired so well with the flaky crust and sprinkled powdered sugar. Definitely found my new bakery spot!

I ordered a pie to be picked up on 12/24/23. I was told the price, and the sales lady and I agreed I would pick it up at 1pm. When I called to be sure the pie was ready, I was told there was no order for the pie, that they don’t sellthe type of pie I ordered. The lady didn’t ask any one else if they took the order, and she rushed me off the phone. I will never order anything from this bakery again.

The chocolate cannolis are terrible and hard as a rock. I expected better. The young lady that took my order was not very welcoming which is a shame. The shop is beautiful though, They need to do better with customer service.

Very rude staff. I came this morning and almost all the women there just seem to have a digusting attitude. The store did not feel welcoming at all or comfortable. Anyways, I ordered an apple turnover and paid and left. As I’m walking, I open my bag and realize the staff made a mistake and gave me the wrong pastry. I return back to the store and told them that this is not what I wanted and even though this was a mistake on their end they did not try to give me a new one or even reimburse me; instead they said that because I took it out of the store I would have to purchase another. I did not purchase another, I just gave them back their pastry and left. Very unprofessional and not a nice store at all.

Bakery is a ripoff. Owner raises prices on the holidays. How do you that to your regular customers. Stay away from this place. Go to Sal & Doms . Much better pastries and cake. Owner is a greedy old Italian woman

The Morris Park Bake Shop is simply "Classic" . A family run bakery, where I have been shopping for decades ! It is where I always order my delicious Thanksgiving pies, and go there on a regular basis especially for their apple turnovers ( just love their turnover pastry ), chocolate almond danish cakes, and other delicious baked goodies. They are a landmark establishment of the Morris Park Community, and I am so happy they are here !!

Stopped by today. Really nice assortment of pastries. Old charming place that my research shows was once a German establishment. I love old world bakeries and glad I stopped by. The one rainbow cookie I had was delicious. The only reason 4 stars is because the young lady while cute and efficient was somewhat cold. No smile. No good energy. It was as if she didn't want to be there or thinks highly of herself. She can improve her attitude.

Grabbed a raspberry hamintasch cookie because you rarely see raspberry. It is always prune or apricot. It was delicious. Also grabbed 2 types of cookies, one a cherry biscotti and the other a flat almond looking cookie.
