This Bar is a place where racism exists. I tried getting in with a few friends and we are POC and only a few could get in because of capacity and none us was able to get in when we were outside near security, and I was told “We’re full”. A few min later a group of white girls tried getting in and Security immediately let them pass. This happened February 17th at 1am, the two security guards that were there were POC.

Another crowded off campus bar that pollutes the Belmont neighborhood by serving underage Fordham students & sending them back out into the community in a drunken stupor. Why should they care when they're making money from these kids hand over fist, right? I've visited a couple of times in 20 years of living in the Bronx & was never impressed. One of a multitude of blights left on the neighborhood by its uncaring nearby university.

Mugzs is a great bar I love the place but it only take Fordham university students only sometimes it will accept outsiders depends who are there but the bar is very safe
Nice place. The owner, Suits is a great guy. And their bouncer, Gary is a helluva guy. They cater mostly to the students that go to Fordham University, thus the propensity for underage drinking. The 48th Precinct doesn't bother too much. They know me as The Veteran.
