Been here since 1912. Jovanne and Vinncezo are great.
The bread is so delicious I get it sliced and their pound cake, the croissants and apple turnovers and big donuts yummy. And you go there early get a hot butter bagel! 😋
I also had them do 4 dozen dinner rolls for my Christmas party, They were so delicious they were hit of the party.

This family owned bakery has been around for a long time. The baked goods are hot and fresh in the early hours of the morning. They. Smell amazingly. Tiny “hole in the wall” spot that people should visit

9-20-24: My mother went this morning and there was a sign saying they are temporarily closed. I would call ahead to see if they are open before going.
They have the best coffee and baked goods.

I’m trying to figure out if this was the same Italian bakery my mother used to go to when I was a little kid in the 1950s? Was there a bakery near or in this location back then? Did it have a dark (shiny black?) storefront back in those days. Is it the one a couple of blocks away from PS 113? If it is, we absolutely loved it. We lived on Bronx Blvd, but unfortunately, moved out of da Bronx in ‘64.
Wow! Best bakery.
I love this bakery
