It pains me to give Nicks 1 star because this was my childhood pizza shop for decades but I have to let Nick know that his workers suck. People come to an Italian pizza shop for Italian pizza not pizza made by Mexicans. This might sound racist but this is the truth. An Italian wouldn’t be making Mexican food in a Mexican restaurant.. Anyway, it’s not what it used to be. The pizza is way too thick, the flavor isn’t as tasty as it was like back in the days, the cheese is way too thick as if you asked for extra cheese. In fact, I almost choked on it and the price is astronomical $4.50 !!! Yes, the slices are kinda big but who eats all that pizza especially with the dough being so thick you can’t even enjoy it. I honestly have to say that the pizza shop in Throgsneck is way more flavorful, nicely sized, thinner and only $3.00 Sorry Nick but you got greedy and raised the prices too high and changed up staff. I was coming here since Nicks pizza shop burned down and you reopened and renovated to a larger shop so you know I know all too well about Nicks Pizza. At one time you guys were unmatched. All I can say is you need to make changes ASAP. Make the pizza thinner, change your ingredients back to the old one and lower your price because your price is crazy. This is the Bronx not Manhattan!! Also, you need to reconsider your staff or train them better and compare how many ppl come into your shop now because I’ve seen many get off the train and walk right past the shop and that’s unheard of. I might try Nick’s again in the far future and update my review accordingly, but for now you gonna get this 1 star.

It’s quite disappointing to post this review as I have frequented Nick’s for over two decades. More recently, the quality has been inconsistent. Today, I called for a small pie, and when I arrived, the man who took my order quickly string tied the pizza before I could see the pie or add any toppings. Once I made it over to visit family, I knew why. The pizza was overcooked. It also tasted quite stale. My brother and I consumed 1-2 bites of a slice, but it was unbearable.
I called the establishment and was told to come back. When I arrived, there was another pie waiting for me, which was nice; however, once I arrived back with family, it was clear that the second pizza was worst than the first. There was barely any tomato sauce and the cheese was of poor quality. I attempted to call back, this time, only to express my disappointment; however, no one will answer the phone the phone this time. I am more frustrated by how much time was wasted. I don’t get to see my family often, and this ate up a good chunk of our time together. Do better, Nick’s.

Nicks pizza is the tasty, savvy pizza. I used to go there when I was pregnant with my daughter. Today my daughter Amy is 41. I never missed a day after I came from work. They are polite, attentive; the pizza and foods are excellent. I was there 15-20 years ago. Still living them. See you soon guys🥰
This is the best pizza in the bronx,nick does not use cheap cheese,my friends and I have been going here for over 50 years now,the only thing changed is it was only two tables then,now it's six but the place and food are beautiful,thank you nick.

I have been visiting the pizza shop since I was knee high to a cricket. The pizza the food, the atmosphere , the service is excellent. I sometimes get a slice with extra cheese and mushrooms. Delicious ?
