I just got two slices: one plain, one pepperoni. They are punishingly bready and heavy. Such a heavy, uneven crust; so much cheese (which is generally a plus for me!!), but not a ton of flavor. I'm really sad about this one, because I had high hopes and they're so close to me.
I would have loved to have seen a more traditional New York slice: Thinner crust, a bit more sauce so that the cheese can pool to the back. It feels like they may be adding a good bit of olive oil to the crust, which may be responsible for a decent amount of this heaviness. I'll try again in a couple of months to see if this was a fluke.
