It's been a very long time since I enjoyed sashimi/sushi since moving away from my old home. So happy to have found this place. Sweet potatoes are sooooo good!

Pretty dope. I only got the sushi but I liked it, my fav sushi in Riverdale I think. They had a great playlist and the bartender was an epic singer

Very bad food. Fish was gray. Spent $275 and only half the food came. Then they claimed I called DoorDash first when they actually called DoorDash. Save your money and go elsewhere.

Palace of Japan is excellent for sushi, sashimi, and the many other traditional Japanese dishes on the menu. When it comes to some of the chicken and beef entrees, however, the menu needs to be more accurate and detailed about the ingredients. I ordered Delightful Chicken, which was eggplant and chicken "with a hint of spicy sauce."I ordered this delivered. As a diabetic, I wasn't delighted to find the sauce was extremely sugary sweet, with a tiny hint of spice. I drained off what I could, but the food was saturated with it.The sushi and other dishes are described in detail. The lesser, miscellaneous dishes should be accurately described. Use the words Sweet Sauce.

DO NOT GO!!!! The only reason it’s so good is because it’s the only Japanese spot around. The food is disgusting with no flavor and so much grease, the only thing you can taste is the oil. Another thing, the hostess doesn’t speak English, and I’m not biased, but she took my order wrong, charged me extra for fried rice bc apparently it was not included, but didn’t even offer me the white rice that was included even after I had pointed out that the menu stated a lunch box with rice for $15. They rip people off, the food is gross and the service is deplorable. be careful!!

Pretty good Japanese cuisine. Always like the chicken katsu and the sweet potato roll is good. Noodles w/ shrimp are also good. Not a bad choice for dinner or takeout.
