There was little wait time with the reservation and our waitress kept us informed and checked in with us often. The food was great and prices are v wry reasonable
I was unfamiliar with this restaurant, but my husband received a gift card from his colleagues at his retirement party. We came for Valentine's Day and were very pleased with the choice! We started with Old Fashioned and Fried Green Tomatoes. Perfect batter and crunch. The bacon jam gave the perfect amount of bite. Mr. TSwi had fish (sorry - no photo). I had the garlic clove stuffed filet. It was fork-tender and so delicious. Potatoes fried in tallow butter were decadent. We had the Bread Pudding for dessert - and the leftover for breakfast Sunday morning. Overall, great value for the quality of the food. Not ridiculously expensive. Not ostentatious (TSwi wore jeans and a blazer and was well-dressed compared to others.) We will look forward to coming back again soon.
We have eaten at The Ranch dozens of times both on special occasions and regularly for Saturday night date nights and the food is usually very good. Over the years we have had a few misses and last night fell in that category. While we often order different meals, my go to is the chicken fried steak and my wife tends to order salads. In the old days they actually had two ways to order the chicken fried steak and meat loaf - big or small and you would get one or two pices. Even then a single chicken fried took up half the plate. The one I got last night wasn't much bigger than my palm - very small. However, unlike the side vegetables that came with it, it was hot. My mashed potatoes and corn, (swapped for the greens,) we luke warm at best. My wife's salad was not much better. It was very tired with wilted lettuce and oldish tomatoes. All and all, not a terrific night.
I enjoy this restaurant wasn't pleased with where I was sat and the food was not prepared as I requested and needed to be sent back and still not correct they did make up for it by comping a drink
I made a reservation to celebrate a friend's birthday. I celebrated my birthday last month. I was so impressed I decided to take Laura.
Great atmosphere. Food is excellent. We requested a particular table and they were very gracious in letting us sit where we wanted. Highly recommended.
Excellent food and service. Definitely recommend the meat and cheese board. The elk tacos are fantastic too!
Our server Cecil was awesome. His recommendations were spot on. He was friendly and very helpful. And the food???? Absolutely amazing as always!
Great experience! The roasted garlic stuffed filet was amazing and their Brussels sprouts are delicious. Great for a nice date night.
This is not our first time dining at the ranch, but this is the first time that there were several things that were not up to par. The appetizers came out. Luke warm. We had the elk tacos Period. We had not gotten our waters yet, when the waters came, the glasses or dirty. Both the glasses were dirty. When the meal came, we had to wait for the knives to arrive, so we sat there for a little bit. Service was delayed, food was. It's typical standard, but for some reason, the overall experience was off this time.

Overall, the experience was great! Unfortunately, there was a decently long black hair I slurped up in my frozen Long Island. The server made it right and replaced the drink. Our appetizer took about 15 minutes as they were honest and shared it was delivered to the wrong table. I still recommend The Ranch despite some of the minor setbacks. Great environment and waitstaff!
Great time with friends, the only thing was the fries were cold. I didn't want to say anything Agian this time. As far as everyone else. Food was great abs we had a great time with each other.
Where do I even start. Visiting Irving/Dallas and randomly found this place looking around on apple maps and so happy I booked here. From start to finish just an amazing experience. Our waiter Chris was amazing with how attentive he was but also with recommendations and any questions. We started with the tomatoes and the crab dip. Then for our mains the meatloaf for my mom, and the tomahawk for me and my friend to split (we finished the entire thing). Sides were broccolini, brussels, farm vegetables, and cornbread. Dessert was the pecan pie and the chocolate cake. Everything from start to finish was 10/10. Christmas decorations/vibe also 10/10. Would def come back next time I am in the area!
Santa and Mrs Claus was a great touch! Our ribeye was wonderful and our server was top notch.
Atmosphere was great, steak was well cooked, sides were delicious. Would definitely recommend!
