Everytime i pass by Jerome ave in the Bronx I have to stop by rays for a refreshing smoothie and chicken & cheese empanada. They always have fresh ingredients and excellent customer service. So happy they are back!

3 stars because of the smoothie only. The smoothie alone would be 5 stars, except it is expensive. I bought a chicken and cheese empanada, it was half empty, bite after bite no filling! 3.50 for an empty empanada is crazy! Would go back for a smoothie only. Also not welcoming, When you walk in no one greets you, one person making smoothies and there is a wait. The man making the smoothies seems annoyed he even has to be there.

They make tasty shrimp cakes (with good seasoning) and they are not blind (they have shrimp ? and I say this from my own experience, because I have experience in selling and making cakes). I love it because I feel the Creole flavor of the red and green peppers; that is to say: “A good homemade sofrito”?.
