We asked for the dessert menus and we were ready to order dessert and asked 3 waiters and no one stopped to take the order. We had to go and get the attention of a 4th waiter to have dessert.

Since parking was impossible on street, we both used $10 valet parking. Expensive but good, especially when metered street parking was $5/2 hours.

With a lot of competition in the area Roberto holds its own. Pasta and Seafood are exceptional. Risotto and meats are average. I expect veal to be super tender and I didn't get that. Service is wonderful, a bit low on value but overall a very good Bronx Little Italy destination.

It must have been sold. It was absolutely horrendous from the eggplant and no zucchini starter with cold tomato sauce to the gelatinous mess they called sauce on a pork chop that was billed as double cut that was butterflied open with a spicy sauce of fried tough artichokes and over fried potatoes. The special pear ravioli had no pears five anemic discs of flat pasta with tasteless filling. Only the one glass of Pinot noir was good. I have no idea what has happened here but it was the worst meal ever in The Bronx!!!
As always, Roberto's always provides the best meal ever. I have been going there for over 25 years. Last 5 years Saturday early afternoon is my preference. Tried the fresh pasta in foil which was perfect. Going to try to recreate that dish at home.

Favorite dinning experience thus far in the Bronx. Absolutely wonderful risotto ragú! Perfect intimate and comforting neighborhood joint where the lights are perfectly dimmer, but adjustable at the table (for those with trouble reading the menu), and smooth atmospheric music. Seasoned, personable wait staff made the evening seamless and the perfect pre Yankees birthday dinner! We look forward to coming back :)
