San Gennaro is my go to restaurant on Arthur Avenue. I am never disappointed. It's a truly Italian restaurant, with Italians working and cooking the food. Love the Bronzino al forno, and this time had a mascarpone gelato affogato that was wonderful!

I grew up in the Bronx New York but like most natives rarely enjoyed GEMS in other neighborhoods. Sadly up until I was about 9 I lived in walking distance of this beautiful what is called little Italy in the Bronx . We never called it little Italy growing up . We just new the neighborhood had many Italians and the awesome smell from the bakery every morning . Now that I am all grown up and earn enough money to indulge food and culture in a different way . We went to dinner at the San Gennaro on Arthur Ave in Little Italy in The Bronx after our bus trip to Yankee Stadium. First time here on Thu 5/22/25 4:30pm.
