I bought chicken dinner and 4 wings. $38 The wings and chicken was burnt. That being said, my first and last time at this establishment. My wife in the hospital at SBH could not eat the macaroni and cheese that was the wrong color and texture. The potato salad was terrible because it was like soup.

To be honest I didnāt want to write this review being that I love supporting black businesses I would never want to bring down my own kind but I have to address this ā¦ Iāve eaten from here a couple times the food far as flavor is decent the people here are quite nice good customer service and the potato salad is banging it taste like grandmas potato salad Iām not gonna lie .The collard greens and yams are decent if I had to rate I would give it a 6. But it bothers me that every time I go get a 5 piece dish dinner with two sides which is 17 dollars and in these times I know inflation is beating everybodyās ass I understand but if Iām paying that much I want the quantity and quality that Iām paying for and I also leave tips but damn donāt try to rob people I say this because they are advertising 5 piece fish dinner with two sides but in all reality they are giving you like 2 and a half piece of small fish that are cut up but itās five pieces so you think your getting 5 pieces of whiteys but itās not whole fillets which is sad because whiteys arenāt even that expensive. Also with the sides they literally giving you like one scoop like seriously that is outrageous it doesnāt even fill up to the top of the cover of the plate .This goes back to trying to support black owned businesses but itās hard because they will always try to get over on their own people. You donāt even have the decency to say ā hey I donāt have much fish left I can add something else to your order to accommodate youā and this isnāt the first encounter . My black people we have to do better your trying get over on people and thatās not gonna work because there are many places that have soul food and it really comes from the soul stop trying to rob people because your going to lose some good customers. Hope this doesnāt offend anyone hope they accept criticism and make a change Iām just being honest God bless and I wish you all nothing but success but I will not be coming back here.

this was $50 Iāll never complain when food is of quality but this was disgusting the salmon cooked like deep fried hush puppies, collard greens were salty as hell, the Mac nd cheese. The wings were ok. Iāve had plenty of variations of Macaroni and cheese and my goodness it was terrible!!! Absolutely awful! The Rasta pasta had a decent flavor but they couldnāt even be bothered to cut the onions and peppers in any slight uniform way. And whoever they have answering the phone, irritated that they have to call youā¦. to actually notify you that something they have listed on the menu isnāt available isā¦. Just as awful as the food. I feel robbed and quite frankly I want my money back. Shouldāve disputed it. But NEVER and I mean EVER again.

What can I say about this place I come from Brooklyn to get food. They food is really good. Donāt mind driving to the Bronx food good soul food.
My husband and I were looking for a seafood soul food spot and we stumbled upon this hidden gem. We both ordered the fried shrimp with Mac n cheese and collard greens! Everything was a 10/10 Iām very picky about Mac n cheese and collard greens and both were delicious. The collard greens were seasoned perfectly, Mac n cheese had the right amount of cheese, it was peppery just how I like it. The fried shrimp was fresh and hot. We canāt wait to try more dishes.

I ordered a fish sandwich and fries . I received only a whiting with no bread or anything that indicates a sandwich . The whiting and the fries were severely salty and greasy . I am very tolerable with food but the 12$ order was not eatable . I wanted to go back and exchange the food but after physically being in the store and watching all those depressed mug faces who were unfriendly , Iād rather not go back . How can you mess up French fries and a fish sandwich !!! Horrible , terrible food .
