The second server we got was really good i think his name is kevin. we also came here 2 months ago and the prices went up by 10, i know times are rough but 10 is crazy in my opinion. If one person gets the all you can eat so does the other, which it didn’t state that ANYWHERE. Not the menu, not the website, nowhere. i didnt like bc my boyfriend has a bigger appetite than i do and i just wanted one thing. I also feel like you dont get your money worth because there is only a 90 minute time and the food takes so long to come its not worth it. Anytime we needed something from a server my boyfriend had to seek out their attention rather than them checking in on us. I think if they automatically add 18% service charge, they should actually have really good service. Ours came to $35 which i would never leave for the service we got regarding our first server and the wait time.

My Husband and I along with our Friends visited Shaking Crab(Bx location) on 2/15/25 @6:30pm,the greeter (I forgot her name,my apologies) was very pleasant. The aesthetic of the restaurant was beautiful, the service was excellent and our waitress (Milk) was fantastic! She gets five stars ⭐️. Unfortunately there was a downside to this restaurant,we wanted to start with some wings ..the restaurant had no WINGS how?!? On a Saturday,we ordered our boils which we received in a brown wooden bowl like our Grandmother use to have(had no issues with that) Now we get our bill..$700. 00 for what! The amount of seafood we received was not worth the amount of the bill. We have eaten seafood from “Red Crab,Holy Crab” and get way more seafood and Drinks (6people) and the bill is half that. Now we know if we would visit again we would only go for drinks and music or on a “all you can eat day” which is Mon-Thu. Shaking Crab should be ashamed for charging that much for that little amount of seafood and not having wings on a Saturday of all days. Greeter 10/10, Rest.Deco 10/10, restroom cleaness 8/10 waitress10/10 , Cost 1/10, amount of seafood 4/10, taste of seafood 10/10, drinks 10/10, Dj 9/10.. We was a party of 5 btw.

Two of the items I ordered came cold, But let me just express how much I love my server LANA!!! she made our first experience 10/10 overall, beside the food being cold. She had a smile on her face the whole time and treated us very respectful. The rest of the staff and manger were also very nice. Drinks were very good also, Dj made me want to stay!

The fisherman’s punch was too milky and the shrimps were smaller than usual for a seafood restaurant. When I order shrimp for a seafood boil, I expect JUMBO shrimp, NOT the medium sized shrimp! The DJ that night was also horrible. He played music for an audience that doesn’t travel to that restaurant location.
Music was great. Server was very attentive. The snow crab legs were cold and did not taste fresh. The sauce was good, but thick. Drinks were decent.

The waitresses acted like they hate their job. - server came over to our table but sat at the next table to us and looked at us without greeting or nothing. Took our food order than said “drink?”; very strange not sure why the lady did not ask to greet us; drink order; food order. I am a server myself and that was just so unpleasant to see. - the server we had did not check up on us ONCE the whole time we were there. - we asked for more water, and it took our server over 10 minutes and sounded like we were an issue to even ask - come to find out we have to automatically tip 18% onto our bill: WITH terrible service. - told us we could get out receipt and said she would be right back. Come to find out we walked up to the bar after sitting for 10 minutes waiting, she was eating her food at the bar. We are very disappointed. OVERALL: would not recommend to people who like to go out to eat to experience good service. Who would want to tip 18% to a server that did not do anything? It was outrageous.

Because I'm a fair person I'm going to start with the positive. The food is actually good.. The portions are small, definitely not worth what you're being charged, like I doubt very seriously that they serve a half pound of shrimp. $9 bucks for a side of garlic noodles that came in a portion size to feed a toddler. The customer service here is terrible, there were no seats at the moment so we were directed towards a bar to sit there forv5 minutes before the bartender said anything. It wasn't until I asked for the drink menu when she said anything to us She was too busy speaking to someone on her headphones she couldn't attend to us as paying customers not to mention made mediocre drinks... our server was ok, she did all she could considering she was the only waitress. I also feel that they need to have a designated area for hookah smokers because not everyone is okay with sitting at a table with clouds of smoke in the air while trying to enjoy their meal... I'd also like to add that the food is very well overpriced and it's not worth the money that they charge.. Unfortunately I'd rather travel, pay a toll and sit in light traffic as opposed to trying to get good food and or service in NYC let alone The Bronx... Let the young folks have this restraunt, not a good place for mature, hard working people with class..
