I’m disappointed, I’ve been here before, but I just left there today and it’s the second time the shrimp comes out roar and I had to send them back to get cooked. The Lomo Salteado was extremely salty and I am now home with the runs and throwing up.

Jan 9, 2026 (Friday) : My neighbors invited me to go to this restaurant and try their food since I am a foodie and critic. To my surprised, I was very surprised with their hospitality and their food. My neighbors also surprised me by celebrating my birthday, which took me off hand lol, but I was very happy. The host, owner went around to see how is everything going. What is outstanding they gave us an order not what we requested and did acknowledge right away and replaced and let us have the order at no charge. This is how a business is run , so my hat goes off , I as a business owner. The food was delicious and their drinks were outstanding.Had the following: 1: DomiRiqueno Pastelon, 2: Pork Mofngo 3: Bangkok Calamari 4: Home made Churros. There were other dishes we had as well. The food was blended well and seasoned. I as well as my neighbors enjoyed their excellent cuisine. I like to thank the staff, especially ISAMAL, our waitress for her kindness, and professionalism in making sure we were satisfied with their service and food and special thanks goes out to the Owner Sandra for making sure her staff took care of us and we were satisfied. I definitely will come back again. I normally don’t go to restaurants in The Bronx because their food and service are not up to my standards. I travel a lot and enjoy giving reviews on restaurants. I will definitely ask for the waitress ISAMAL , you will not be disappointed with her kindness and professionalism and a beautiful smile that makes anyone’s day a better day.

The staff were on point! Very attentive! The atmosphere is absolutely beautiful!
Each dish was cute, and even dishes that other people were getting outside of our party made me wish I got their dish as well!! Very fun. Music was wonderful.
Food itself was yummy, but I can also say it could have had more flavor, but I can’t complain I really enjoyed my time here!!
I should have taken pics of the wall art as it was BEAUTIFUL! Nice cozy spot, looks small, but can fit a great amount of people!

went to grab appetizers and drinks at this cute restaurant with a friend definitely impressed by the choices of appetizers on their menu! Most impressive one was definitely Arepa pa lo chamo. I was really excited to try the Burrata and guava however, I was not impressed. It didn’t really have a guava taste at all the food coloring made it seem like it was gonna be very flavorful however, it wasn’t as flavor as I was hoping for, however, still a very enjoyable tasty experience because the food was definitely exemplary. There were some things on the menu that I wanted to try, but didn’t didn’t get to due to them not serving it at the time when I went to visit overall it was a great atmosphere the one thing that I will say is that we definitely waited around a little to be recognized by the server that was working at the time but overall, it was a good experience. I don’t really have anything negative to say it’s very charming. Definitely a great place to grab food and some drinks. I will say that the appetizers were very enjoyable and it would be nice if they had a bigger quantity to them as we only did focus on appetizers during this sit down the drinks were also very good!😊

Travesias restaurant is a trip around Latin/Hispanic cuisines that dance together in the plate, on your taste buds, and in your tummy. Their fusion options make you want to order several dishes so you don’t miss out on anything but it may be better to return again and again.

The decor is beautiful! One wall has a mural of a woman with floral hair while the opposing wall shares the countries/cultures which inspire their fusion menu.

It’s so refreshing to have various waiters/servers visit the table and hear the Spanish language reveal their cultures/country of origin (and yes, they also speak English). They are friendly and will make accommodations should you have special needs (food allergies) to ensure you enjoy your meal.

I was both surprised and impressed but not only the food presentation but also the large portions. Trust when I say either you prep two days before dining there or ready yourself to bring lots of left-overs home.

The food is simply delicious! Just when you think it reminds you of familiar foods from home- enters the seasoning and flavors of other Latin cultures fused into that familiar dish. So though it’s what you expect there are delectable surprises as you eat.

The Tamarindo juice is just what I expected…mmmm mmmm good!

As an appetizer I shared the Guacamole & Yanikeke. I just loved the presentation of the fresh Yanikeke and the creamy guacamole.
For my main course I had the Travesías Chaufa Rice. I wasn’t sure what to expect and it did not disappoint. This Peruvian/Dominican dish had me going back for more even when I knew I had no more room in my tummy. I am happy though that the left-overs will last for a couple of days.

I had hoped to have dessert but for the first time in a long time my taste buds and hunger were satisfied and there was no room for dessert.

I will definitely return to Travesias and recommend that you come see for yourself. I will keep this as a place to bring my family and friends when they visit from out of town.

The atmosphere was great, and I came for brunch on October 26, 2025, around 3:00 PM. However, the bartender added way too much ice to our sangria—nearly 90% ice and only 10% drink. We politely asked for less ice in our second round, but unfortunately, it was served the same way. While the food itself was decent, it arrived a bit cold. Overall, the experience could have been much better if the bartender had listened to our request and been more attentive to customer preferences.

No air conditioning, flies all over the place. One server pleasant the other bad attitude. Served dishes with no serving spoons or forks. Will not be back.

The food was SO bland. I couldn’t believe it. Also the live music is SO LOUD you can’t even hear yourself think. Lemonade seemed homemade so that was the best part. The mofongo, snapper, and rice need new recipes and some seasoning.

I visited this location mid-July 2025. The first thing you notice is the décor of the restaurant the atmosphere was very welcoming. We were greeted upon entering the restaurant and there was no wait to be seated. You can also make reservations for the restaurant. The menu was on a QR code which I thought was really cool. Our waiter was very attentive. They kept checking on us to make sure everything was okay. We received our food rather quickly. The presentation of the food was absolutely beautiful. I ordered The Tamarind Airline Chicken. To be honest I was worried of how it would taste I was afraid the sauce would overpower the chicken but it was absolutely delicious. We also order Churrasco Argentino with shrimp. I ordered a Shirley Temple and a Passionfruit Margarita. For dessert we had the Chocolate Volcano Cake. The cake itself was good but I didn’t like the berries with it. I can’t wait to return for more of their delicious food. The restaurant accepts cash and card. This location is accessible via bus.
