"I ordered the rigatoni e zucca (rigatoni with butternut squash and peas). The rigatoni was too al dente, the peas were crunchy, and the sauce had no flavor. The bread served in the beginning was nothing special. After dinner was completed we were not asked if we wanted a dessert or coffee to follow. For what we ordered it was overpriced and I would not recommend."

I can't understand how anyone can say that the food is good in this restaurant. I had lunch there today given the myriad of positive reviews. We took a cold appetizer (mixture of cured meats with a vacuum-packed flavour) and a plate of meatballs and polenta soaked in oil and the polenta still had signs of the vacuum-packed bag. Immediately afterwards we moved on to the pizzas: a capricciosa and a Cirillo recommended by the waiter. They were cookies! The only contrasting flavor was that of mushrooms! For drinks, two bottles of sparkling water. Bill for two people for two pizzas and two appetizers $110.00. The only harmonious note is that the dining room staff is very courteous and attentive to everything that happens in the room.

The linguine vongole was a bit salty for my liking. The clams were fresh and pasta al dente. Coal fired pizza very good. With a nice crust.

I never knew that there was a Little Italy neighborhood in the Bronx until going there with my cousin while visiting from Denver last month. It's smaller than Mulberry Street's version in Manhattan, but that was fine with me, as over the years I'd gotten a little tired of it. The few blocks that comprise it are very cute, and I'll bet there are other establishments worth visiting there.
We had a late lunch/early dinner at Trattoria (which until looking it up on Google Maps to write this review, I didn't know has multiple locations). I can't imagine that any of them are better than this one. First - the service was excellent. Very friendly, attentive, and wanting to help out in any way possible regarding our experience. Second - the food was great. There wasn't one item that wasn't delicious. The only disappointing part of the meal was that there were many items on the menu I wanted to try, but wouldn't be able to - at least not on this visit.
I actually ate a dish that I had always avoided (Cacio e Pepe), as it always sounded boring to me. I wouldn't have had it had one of my cousins not ordered it. Consider me converted.
Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Classic Italian-American food on the famous Arthur Ave. ~30 min wait on a Saturday night. I wasn’t expecting mind blowing food so the expectations were just right.
The food was to be expected, just normal Italian food, with an emphasis on Italian American, along with a few twists on the menu (eg: cacio e pepe w/ artichoke hearts). The pizza tasted like a standard neopolitan pie, the puttanesca was okay, and the eggplant parmesan was quite good. The puttanesca was w/ gluten free noodles that were cooked well, but the sauce was just fine. The olives were definitely low quality canned black olives.
I would say if the pasta dishes don’t look to appealing just get a pizza and call it a day.
The interior definitely gives off Cheesecake Factory vibes so definitely more of a family group friendly place than a date night spot.

We started with the Burrata and beet salad. It was perfect. We decided to try the pizza with the sliced potatoes and porcini mushrooms. It was absolutely delicious! Great food and service..
