My family and I always look forward to eating at Kaito. The sushi is always fresh and well prepared. The staff and owner are really friendly and helpful. They very clearly doing their best to give the best possible experience. Local gem.

We gave this place another try tonight, but both of us agreed we will NOT be returning. First, the staff was inattentive, more focused on his phone or AirPods than taking our order or answering menu questions. It took about 25 minutes for our food to arrive, and we didn’t even get utensils. I had to go to the server station to grab them myself. Our tempura was undercooked, and unfortunately, there were no wait staff around to address the food issues. The only person in sight was the sushi chef, who didn't know where the utensils were. It took another 10 minutes just to get our check.

Literally walked out of this place because me and my boyfriend were never acknowledged by anyone. Both of the men just looked at us and said absolutely nothing. When I asked “do we just sit down?” The guy nodded gave us two menus and just walked away. We ended up going 1 minute away to other place called Wild Ginger and were acknowledged the minute we walked in the door. Save your $ and time for better service just 1 minute away.

The food is not good at all. The beef teriyaki had no flavor. The rock shrimp tempura was drenched in (I think) French salad dressing. Very odd. The water was nice and cold though.

A restaurant must do two things: first it must give you high quality food. Second, it must give you the food in a smooth and timely manner. The food here is... Good enough. The fish is fresh, although it's certainly not the best in the area. The service is... Awful. It took more than 2 hours an hour to receive everything in a restaurant that wasn't even half full. It seems that they prioritize takeout, which is unacceptable in a restaurant with this setup. I should not be able to watch the sushi chef make different rolls in front of me only for all of them to go in a brown bag and shipped outside of a restaurant. I don't care how good the food is if the servers don't bring it. To add to this, the server barely understood English. This place is extremely unprofessional, and I will make sure not to come here again.

The best sushi in bronxville by far. Extremely underrated. Try it if you haven’t. Really fresh ingredients and authentic feel.

The food is good here. The atmosphere is kind of ok. Nothing special. Service was a little difficult as the waiter didn't understand what a "club" soda or "seltzer" was. First he brought my friend a Coke then he just brought her water. This was my second visit to Kaito. First visit was for dinner and they were busy so I think the food was better. The second time was for lunch and they weren't that busy. I'm sure I'll be back but I'll make sure it's for dinner ☺️

Easily the best local sushi place. There's only really one other option and that place is terrible. The fish here is fresh and the chefs really know what they're doing.

The salmon teriyaki with rice, broccoli and choice of soup or salad is consistently YUMMY! A convenient and satisfying plate of food, especially when waiting in the ER at NY Presbyterian Hospital in Bronxville, NY.
