I've been a loyal customer here for years, but today's experience was incredibly disappointing. I informed the Hispanic lady about the two orders I was picking up, and she walked away without a word. I gave her the benefit of the doubt, thinking she was busy. However, five minutes later, she responded with attitude, shrugging her shoulders and saying 'it's not ready.' I found her behavior rude, sassy, unprofessional, and disrespectful, especially considering I was speaking calmly. I also asked for the Manager and the Manager never came. This behavior is unprofessional, and I think I will not be returning to the established. The behavior is unacceptable for the ZIP Code at that.

I went to Playa Bowls in Bronxville, NY to order two āAƧai Energyā smoothies to go, and what I witnessed was absolutely unacceptable. As the girl behind the counter was āmakingā my order, I saw her go into the freezer and pull out premade smoothies. When I asked if she was about to use those for my order, she casually said yes.
Iāve been to Playa Bowls locations all over New York, and this has NEVER happened anywhere else. I called over another worker (who seemed to be a manager or team leader) and asked if this was allowed. She told me the smoothies were made for a party that never showed up and were sitting in the freezer for about an hour. She also admitted the owner was aware of this practice!
Let me be clear: I was about to be charged $25 for someone elseās abandoned order, pulled from the freezer and passed off as fresh. I immediately demanded a refund because this is dishonest and disgusting.
I will NEVER go back to this location again, and I strongly suggest others think twice before spending their money here. If this is how they cut corners in front of customers, imagine what goes on behind the scenes.

Been coming here for years since it opened and was originally a 5 start place and idk why I order the same bowl every time and each time they put less and less aƧaĆ. This last time I basically got granola with a side of bananas. The aƧaĆ in my bowl was non existent. For the price they charge is outrageous considering the amount you get in your bowl.
Definitely not a satisfied customer.
For customers that are willing to try please order the granola separate as they base the bowl with granola on the bottom and then add a truck load on top basically hiding the little amount of aƧaĆ they put in.
the actual food itself is great. always fresh! the employees? horrific and condescending. the environment in this store is atrocious. girls behind the counter are mean and have some of the worst interpersonal skills i've ever witnessed. there's just no customer service. they openly talk badly about each other, customers, and the store. i had been a customer here for years before i tried working behind the counter and one shift was enough to make me never want to set foot in that store ever again :)
