Our waitress was outstanding, our food was served in a timely fashion, all our selections from apps to entrees was cooked perfectly and delicious, the best burger for sure, ambiance was loud, but tolerable, food and service was totally worth it.
The food was absolutely amazing, the service was amazing, and me and my wife were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary and we will be back because our experience was fantastic.
Painters is great for the entertainment however sometimes the food is hit or miss. I ordered the squash soup and for a ridiculous price of $18 I got a small bowl of soup that I took to go. It was barely a small bowl. Also, the service for a Saturday evening was extremely slow and inattentive. I wanted to order more drinks, but no one came around to service our table. Nachos were amazing and we ordered them with NO OLIVES, but they came out with olives. Our main dishes were delish as were the drinks we actually did get.
We chose to try this restaurant during Long Island Restaurant Week. Our server was FABULOUS! The restaurant is quite loud - - can't even hold a conversation with others at your table & we were a table of 2! The Restaurant Week menu was Prix Fixe - - however, the menu offered included items that were not part of the Prix Fixe & not labeled as such. If the menu that was advertised would have been correct, we would have never made the reservation to start with - - it was quite the "bait & switch". Really disappointing & the owners/management should be embarrassed to put their amazing wait staff in such an awful position. In fairness, my meal was excellent - - I chose the filet mignon. Unfortunately, my husband had a raw bar appetizer and a seafood entree - - his meal was not good. The raw bar clams were not well cleaned & well below par for a restaurant of this price point. The seafood in his entree was all over-cooked and rubbery. The pasta in the dish was also overcooked. The red sauce was shown on the menu as spicy & flavorful, however, the actual sauce was bland and had no flavor. In summary, it's a loud place with good (average) food, but stay away from any seafood options - - definately a place to select meat options instead!
With three children long wait for food and dessert. 2 hours start to finish. Lots of waiting. But good was good!
Very casual place. Didn't expect the level of noise. Literally impossible to hold a conversation. The waitress was awesome and completely on her game. Tuna appetizer was delicious and the drinks were delicious and strong. Had the swordfish dinner, was a nice portion and well balanced meal. Only real knock on this place was the level of noise. But once you get there and see the type of restaurant it is the noise is almost expected.
Always great! We're locals so we are always here. The food and drinks are always great as they were last night. I have a $16 Open Table gift card for Painters. They wouldn't take the card. We will be back for sure but was thrown off by the gift card
First time & thoroughly enjoyed Painter's. A little off the beaten path but worth the trip. Had a beer flight, a delicious chicken quesadilla & a great hamburger. It was very noisy but we were seated in a room with less noise. Our server, Amanda. Was delightful. Will definitely recommend for a group of friends for a fun dinner. I'm
Lunch meeting to plan a small wedding, the service and attention was on point. Food was terrific, salad and the huge portion of chowder with enough to enjoy the next day.
We were having dinner with family and it was a little too noisy for a decent conversation so they put us in a different dining area. It was amazing. Got to enjoy family and some nice music. 5 star. Always

Other than the restaurant was crowded and noisy, the experience was great. Had the soup special Manhattan seafood chowder and it did not disappoint. At $24 I almost did not order, but it was loaded with seafood and worth it. The wedge salad was big and fresh. My group had 3 sandwiches and each one was great...of course generous portions so we had leftovers to take home.
I do enjoy painters but the food this visit was below par. The peonies oysters are the best part, fresh and delicious. After that the main courses were the problem. Fluke sandwich was tasteless and soggy with a stale bun, and fish tacos were loaded with toppings but light on mahi . Service is always good and the vibe is fun. Will be back but hope good is better
It was extremely noisy. Burgers ordered medium rare but received medium well instead. Water was not room temperature. Very disappointed, not up to prior standards.
Such an interesting atmosphere. Food was yummy. Chopped salad was especially delish! Great service from Amanda. Drinks were perfection. Thank you, Michelle!
Come here very often, food is great and normally service is as well. But had a bad experience this time with the service I received
